Could be due to perspective, the pilots are blocking the iconic angled dashboard, POV is further away from the cockpit, giving it a tunnel like feeling which most likely is why it's a bit hard to recognise it from the interior.

yeah thats standard for some Humvees but usualy they have a roof but not much to the front (look at some Humvees used in afghanistan or iraq)
