A realistic take that is important for everyone to hear. You got to put in the work. Many people want the results and I tell them if you put in the exact amount of time as the other person has, who knows how great you could be! Even if you are the most talented player in the world and you improve 100% faster than anyone else, if they put in 10,000 hours, you still need to put in 5,000.

I agree! Recently, at my club, we had 2 racket clashes during 2 separate matches at the net. Players are blocking the net volleyball style before the shuttle goes over to the opponent's side or before the opponent can hit the shuttle. They say distracting opponents by waving racket in their face & blocking opponents' follow through is totally legal. 🤦♂🤦♀Then they mock you about it. These same people during the entire warm-up smash at me trying to hit me in the face & body. Yes, even when I move to the rear court. When unsuccessful they hit all shots towards my backhand-clear. They have 10+ years of playing experience. They even watch the professionals play live matches. They have no excuse for not knowing how to do a proper warm-up. I spend the entire game feeding them rear court smashes until they start grabbing their elbow & arm. 😁People will benefit more by working on improving their skills rather than focusing on short-cuts & poor court etiquette.

thank you sir. I have a very basics-level concern... I often miss my shots. I see the shuttlecock but sometimes when I swing, the racket doesn't make contact! what do I do to fix this 😢
@Basicfeather3 ай бұрын
Sounds like its about playing a bit more and practising the timing of your shots? So the coordination between your swing and where the shuttle is.

You just need friend or coach to help you feed for smashing. In some people may have trouble about eye distance measuring but problem can solve by practicing more often and use feeling to hit.

May be you are trying to hit too hard Or thinking about the placing even during the point of contact Decide the place you want to play to and Focus on the shuttle while you hit it
