"A long time ago in a place fa, far away...." Famous line that describes my beginnings in Pro Wrestling Photography. "A long time ago" when things were completely different I got my start running down to ringside as an very young fan, with my Mamiya Sekor DTL 500 in hand to snatch a photo from time of two westlers "fighting" in the ring. It gave me the opportunity to combine my two passions, pro wrestling & photography into on. I remember using black & white film "push processed" to 800 to capture the images in low light arenas of the day. Now 50 plus years later, with 1000's of photos to my credit, with new digital cameras & lens I'm still here doing what I love. Life is to short as there isn't enough time in one lifetime to photograph all the matches I want to photograph. Shooting pro wrestling turned from a hobby to a business to a passion. The next generation of wrestling photographers will find the same passion as I did & bring it forward to who ever follows them.

Oddly, I saw your fb post, just after writing a letter to Eddie Hearn and Matchroom, about doing a project on boxing, for my fellowship (and hopefully get some work in the industry). Creating something completely different to my Associate qualification, with more of a portrait/documentary style, that will hopefully stand out from the norm.

@PortraitofaWrestler absolutely, I know us wrestling photographers rarely get meet as most promotions only use one, but whenever we do I love the opportunity to talk shop and learn from each other
