You explained the experience to perfection. I've had chocolate mint for some months now and it's everything you said. I planted it at my door, people's reactions are beautiful and it still shocks me everyday how it smells like actual chocolate. A plant?! I'm still shocked. And it's my plant. I grew it. That, to me, is so crazy. I love it.

I was taking care of a customer at Lowes and she had chocolate mint to buy. I had my mask on and couldn't stop smelling it! After work u grabbed two plants got home stuck them with compost in a new planter and have a light to grow them. Amazing! Once it get big I'm going to stick it outside in a bigger pot. Meanwhile I'm going to make tea with the leaves. Thank you for the great advice! From California USA 😊

I love the way you say chocolate. It makes me want to eat one right now so badly. 😋 I just bought chocolate mint and it's going to be delivered tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait to plant it in a really cute pot and use it for teas and stuff

That's interesting, Andy! I bought one from a local market and the seller told me its fresh leaves are good for hot milk. And I love the aroma of it. You're right, it has a strong smell whenever you touch it. Thank you for the information you shared here! Happy gardening! 🙂🌻

My friend actually grows some, and he's gonna give me some clippings later in the week so I can make my own tea :)

It's also an excellent plant for erosion control. Plant some next to a small stream or riverbank for excellent results.

Did you happen to keep it ? Same happened to me. I literally forgot about it for a year. I put the small pot outside , didn’t do anything to it. The. It rained off and on for a week and I noticed it coming back to life! I put it in a bigger pot with new soil & started taking care of it and before you know it , it grew runners ! Ok so the bad thing is , I sold it at my first farmers market. Yay !! Buttt, you can’t grow chocolate mint from seed so I had to buy new plants. Lesson Learned.

Do you know if anybody sells these type of seeds or maybe I could find this at home depot?
@phuongnguyen16863 жыл бұрын
It’s at Lowe’s garden center

They sell seeds, and at many farmers markets they have live plants. I just picked up a healthy young plant at my local market.

"in reality, it is both the sweetness, and the person telling you that it isn't peppermint " So you agree that it is sweeter than normal peppermint :) But also I have to stress that this plant IS within the peppermint family.
@AndyGrowsFood3 жыл бұрын
That is absolutely correct, and it is so easy to grow from cutting. We love it. Have you grown this one?

We sell these plants within the UK, but many of our friends in the USA and Australia have told us they can buy these plants from Farmers Markets, hope this is the case!

Someone who has enough land should just plant this and let it go and make a whole forest of chocolate mint
