The best part of Mikes videos is that you watch them once and then go back and watch them again and again you find the nuances that you may have missed before. He keeps it so simple. Kinda blows up that mythical creature of “muscle confusion “. I use two pressing machines. Have made so much progress in the last year. He’s the best on KZbin.

Not rushing to finish a set and thinking about keeping the tension on the muscle. Just two of the many lessons I have learned coutesey of Mike. I've trained for years, but not like this. The pumps and the soreness after sessions feels like I'm starting from the beginning again. Which perhaps in some ways I am. Thank you Big Fella! I am very grateful to you for helping me to transform my physique.

The problem with society today is too many people are out their that are in denial and need to hear false things about themselves and others who have no problem telling them so. No one can take constructive criticism anymore yet they wonder why they never improve. PLANET FITNESS is an example of society gone made. No judgment zone. Lmao. So come in here looking like shit and we will be proud of you for it while shoving a slice of pizza in your mouth.

Honestly, this channel has been THE BEST channel I've found on youtube for technical nuances of getting movement patterns correct. I've had a problem connecting with the chest for a while (especially freeweight). I saw one of your previous chest videos, followed it, and IMMEDIATELY felt the difference.

I’m about almost a week deep in watching your videos. Hit back, chest, and arms, (today is legs) and I have been more pumped after a workout and more sore the days following than I have been probably ever. You explain things very well and I find the verbal cues something that plays in my head during my lifts and has made all the difference. Thank you for putting these videos out there 🙏

Hey Mike, just wanted to stop by and say how thankful I am to have come across your youtube videos. I've been lifting for almost a decade and have always had trouble connecting with certain muscle groups, and yet I just took your advice and had the best chest workout I've had in my life. I've never felt a contraction in my entire chest in that way before. The way you talk about using your own biomechanics to push the weight through the muscle instead of focusing on just getting the weight from point A to point B made a lightbulb go off in my head like "duh" of course. I can't believe I spent so many years locking up and tensing to try to "isolate" my muscles or doing lifts that I've never connected with because some science study said it was the most "optimal" way to grow. Instead what I've been doing is severely limiting my range of motion and my growth. Keep putting out the great videos. I hope more people find you and take your advice. Cheers.

Jay Cutler, to those of you who happens to be unfamiliar with who he is, is one of the best bodybuilders of all time, and had one of the all time greatest overall physiques. He also talked about this, regarding targeting specific chest areas, like upper, lower and mid. Not to mention center and wide. What Jay Cutler said, is that he doesn't believe in it, he believes exactly what Mike is saying here, that if you get a good connection, and you work your chest, the entire chest has to grow, it has no choice. And that comes from a guy who had one hell of an serious physique. Search for "Jay Cutler Mr Olympia 2009" or "Jay Cutler Quad Stomp 2009". Anyways, Mike is also a former professional bodybuilder, so he also knows what he's talking about.

Mike is the master of blowing up the Fixed Idea. Example of a fixed idea is the Red Coats saying the way you fight a war is wear RED coats and march in straight line. Mike saying you you can just move the seat up and down the chest doesn’t know it’s the same machine is the equivalent of picking the Redcoats off from behind a stone wall

People can't handle the truth,I find Mr.Wyck refreshing,most of these coaches,trainers are like shady used car salesmen. I started watching Mike several weeks ago,and I've been lifting since 1989,and I've not been lifting correctly for years,which explains my injuries probably. In short,learn from Mr.Wyck and if the way he is hurts your feelings,take your candyass somewhere else,Mike is helping people lift correctly for maximum benefit.

@Yoshi.3372 жыл бұрын
@MikeVanWyck First off im familiar with cues/mind muscle connection, at least i def get the idea.. im trying to really improve on this, thats why im watching your stuff. But listening to your cues at first was almost annoying like, man wtf is this guy talking about. But man youve helped me so damn much in achieving a pump in target area. Chest - falling away from the weight and not pushing it out. Lat row, extend arm w chest up and chin back. Rear delt on fly machine- just extending my arms forward and focusing on my hands (not pinching traps back) had me SMACKING my rear delts. Thanks for your content man i think youre helping a lot of people. Mind muscle is a complete alien idea for new lifters and can even be for those who have been lifting for 15 years
