For a 66 year old I totally agree with Mike I have been listening to mike for about 15 months and believe it or not seen more growth in my muscles than ever before, I am not strict on what I eat but eat in moderation. The reason I listen to Mike is because of the amount of injuries I have and Mike’s teachings which allows me to do the exercises I thought were long gone. All I know is that I get absolute compliments when people find out my age and how I look, I don’t have the gut that ALOT OF BLOKE WHO AREYOUNGER THAN ME HAVE. I am sure if you put your mind to what you are doing in the gym instead of texting while sitting on the furking machines and taking all day to complete your sets. Also show a bit of balls and imagination when coming into the gym because keep doing the same exercise with the same weight and the same amount of reps each time you come and then complaining your not seeing any muscle growth actually says more about you than you realise.

Listen to everyone. Learn from everyone. Sometimes it's learning what not to do. Helps to keep someone from living in a box in their mind. Both channels have good points.

Exactly Mike at the 21:55 going to the gym and doing these movements over and over is like going to baseball practice, football practice or karate class etc. you practice things over and over and over and that’s what you do in the gym you master these movements 👍

Couldn't agree more. It takes time to learn what Mike says but it's worth the effort. One week i literally dropped the pin down 3 slots heavier simply because i was using my back muscles to move the weight instead of my arms for the first time.

Hi again ! Everything you saybis 100% correct!! Like if you ask 100 people to do a standing in the floor squat, feet parallel , shoulder width apart , knees stop at 90 degree angle, no weights of any kind, you’re going to see 100 versions of the wrong thing, so they are not ready to use weight . Adding weight will make it even more wrong, but folks don’t audition to come to the gym and they don’t want to learn anything, but they also want to leave the hairdresser With the highlights! They just want to do everything wrong, talk to their friends and play with the phone. Ok. They can’t even bend their knees and they really don’t know why they are there . Ok You are in the very tiny percent of instructors that has the patience to Help them, so the lucky few that get a chance to train with you are fortunate . Sorry wrote too much!!!!!!

Hack squat has always been the hardest for me. I always did full rom and no matter how light I went , that machine was always the hardest for me. Heavy db lunges, squats and Romanians weren’t nearly as hard for me. To this day, when I see someone full range 4-5 plates a side on a hack, I am in total shock 😳😆

I used to have that exact problem on hack squats. I started doing them more like you are showing after watching your other videos. Now I rest at the bottom and bounce in that ranger keeping the tension on my quads more. I had to drop back to two plates and work up again. My quads do look better though.

Hello mike what are your thoughts on doing if you lift the rep explosiv and when you come down u slow down the weicht.? A lot of people say itbis necasary to Do to recruit the maximum amount of muscel Fibers.

Good video brother. And I agree it's all in the perspective of the individual and what also works for each individual but without proper range of motion and technique. Whether it's a full ROM or half from, you have to do the motions and muscle mind connection

I'm sure at this point it gets somewhat repetitive for you to keep hitting all these points, Or showing us with the visual aids. Please never stop, your knowledge and comedic delivery makes taking in the information very easy. I've watched a bunch of your videos and even on the ones that go over the same information I am taking little crumbs here and there that maybe I missed or maybe you presented in a different way that clicked for me. Any way just, thanks for putting these out, also shout out to the camera operator and editor always on point. -Team Strawberry uncrustable-

Per squats: I've had a Total Hip Replacement on my left side, so my hip mobility isn't symmetrical across both legs, and maximum SAFE weight is limited to my bodyweight. Best I can do is 90 degrees on a hacksquat. I try to slow my negatives to make up for the lack of depth, but I also don't really know what I'm doing. Hence why I watch Mike

There are so many people that are weak yet "can move heavy weights" that it blows my mind. People are scared to death to actually feel the weight at the weakest point of the range so that there are only movement butchers left in gym today. You master a weight when you have absolute control of it at any point of the range. If you can not stop at every point of the range and literally just wait there for 5 seconds you are moving too much weight. Compensating strength by speed is not a thing. If you think that explosive movements are a legitimate part of bodybuilding you are officially lost. There is an old saying in martial arts: "If I can do it slow I can do it fast. If I can do it fast it does not mean that I can do it slow".

It’s absolutely amazing the shit i see at my gym. Im not incredibly strong but was smith squatting 315 4x10 at 170lbs today with my ass cheeks legitimately 6 inches from the ground with guys on both sides of me doing Quarter squats! No exaggeration not even half way to parallel! It’s embarrassing for me to watch, i cant imagine thinking thats the way to go. Its like sometimes I genuinely wonder if they realize how ridiculously shirt their range of motion is! Same thing on leg press and hacks. Its not an ego thing, ill gladly drop the weight to get full ROM it just doesnt make sense other than they wanna move weight and look like a bozo

Been lifting at the same gym for 6 years now. I’ve seen the same Bros in there that have not put on ounce of solid muscle in those 6 years. They consistently ego lift and are as stiff as boards. I lift 3/4 of the weight they are with better technique and I have leaped frogged them in size. They look at me like, “duhhhh I don’t get how you’re so big? Duhhhhh” idiots
