this guy is a legend. I have been learning a lot from him before KZbin. So awesome to see Roland teaching. This is great wisdom. You can't beat experience. This guy has seen so much innovation in artificial lurers. The proof in in the pudding. Look at all the giant bass he catches.

Roland, my flukes haven't seen the light of the day for quite some time because of fishing other baits. But after watching you today you have got me excited to fish the fluke again. Thanks and take care.

Roland, the great point being quiet in fishing just like hunting, I have walked up on ponds before too quick and scared Bass away and seen wakes. It was good to hear you instructed rifle in the US Army, I love a good rifle, I also get the point to be a line watcher, like a scope on a rifle.

Man the fluke is money at the lake I like to fish. The fluke and the senko is deadly! I use the zoom flukes, but recently I’ve been using the 6th sense version of the fluke called the Flush, and man that bait has me so impressed. It gets crushed! You need to give it a try Mr. Martin. My best day fishing was last fall when those bass was busting shad up by the bank and I would throw that 6th sense fluke over to where they were busting and would get bite every cast. It was incredible!

Thank you, Mr. Martin!! Another great lesson!! I've caught a lot of bass on flukes, but I expect to do better, now!! I've never tried the loop knot, and that extra motion really should make a difference. Without it, I've been restricting the motion a bit, no doubt!

Flukes and trick worms will catch fish ANYWHERE. Of course you had senkos in your front pocket the whole time. Lol! My "go-to" is the truck worm rigged whacky. Reason one, I am a Miami fan and a whacky trick worms makes a U. Reason two, it's an easy rig to watch and cover a lot ground with. Reason three, you can reuse it until it's completely gone.

Thank you Roland for all your videos and information. Been out of fishing for a long time. Fishing is all I used to do and I'm so rusty and out of the loop your videos are just fantastic. Been to black butte lake in CA 5 times and only been catching a few small bass but again I'm rusty and been doing the wrong things. So I'm grateful for your videos. My dream is to fish oakachobee( probably didn't spell that right). Maybe one day. Hoping to hit clear lake CA soon. Big bass there and maybe a senko or fluke will bag me a few. Thanks again for all your videos Roland.

I switched to the offset worm hook for flukes after I started gut-hooking too many smallies on the EWG's. Haven't lost one after that, and the 5" superfluke in green pumpkin magic has been my #1 confidence bait all summer and fall.

On lake Juliette, plant scherer near Macon Georgia, a super fluke with a split shot about a foot above the hook is deadly on schooling striped bass. Schools bustin shad as big as a football field. It’s unbelievable, I love the fluke, I’m pretty sure I’ve mastered it, probably my number one lure of all time, and made in Georgia!! Go dawgs!

You can use a spinning rod, a baitcaster, or a spin caster for about any bait you want, they all do basically the same thing.

I've used a silver speckled 2 inch bass assassin for years as my secret weapon. Throw it out there and jerk it HARD, then let it fall for a few seconds. Jerking it often results in a hook set as they grab it on the fall. I never caught many big ones this way, but tend to rack up numbers of smaller fish, which is OK for me. That being said, this hasn't worked well for me this year. I've been doing ok on drop shots, wacky rigs and Ned rigs, but not as well as I have done over the years with the Bass Assassin.

I was talking to my dad today(he is 75 and has lost most of his sight), and out of the blue, he said that his top bucket list item would be to go fishing with Roland Martin! I’d love to see his dream come true. He’s been telling me about his experience fighting in Vietnam, which he has never talked with me about these things until now. He served 2 tours of duty and was discharged with 4 Purple Hearts and a silver star. He can’t enjoy many things due to being almost blind, but fishing he can handle

I love, love, love fluke fishing. I watch all kinds of fishing videos and have often wondered why I don’t see people using the fluke more. Weightless is great, but I also like to use a small weighted EWG with a spring. And if you really wanted to double your chances, try my double fluke rig! This is a killer Spring tactic. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYXWgYirbbJ-sMU
