I'm the 1st to comment? WAY! As a golf coach I totally agree with this tip. I tell my students to, "Keep the spine angle as that of a cement truck," and, "Skip a rock" when swinging through. This great developmental habit keeps us from coming out of our swing. Also, ( & briefly ) look at where the ball 'was.' ) Keep up the good work, AVG!

What is meant when instructors say “swing level?”

If I understand your question you want to see the shoulder have a lot of tilt relative to the ground coming into impact. If the shoulders are rotating too level to the ground then it almost always is associated with a flipping motion in the trail wrist at impact and that is not good for consistent impact. By maintaining your posture via the tilt you will be able to have much better forward shaft lean which comes as a result of proper wrist motion.

@@AltaViewGolf OK, but how often have we heard the terms “level turn”, “level shoulders” and even “level hips?” I agree with your tip here, but unless instructors saying these things are dead wrong, how do we reconcile those expressions with reality?
