Want to effortlessly shallow the club?? The key comes from making sure you have the correct top of the backswing structure. In this video I go through the exact backswing matchup you need in order to shallow the club out effortlessly!

Another excellent video. Two things I really like about your videos are: 1) options for different types of swings; and, 2) clear explanations of how to and why to do what you are teaching. The four stages of learning a skill are: 1) unconscious incompetence; 2) conscious incompetence; 3) conscious competence; and, 4) unconscious competence. If a golfer doesn’t understand what he is trying to do and why he should do it, he never gets beyond unconscious incompetence.

Man! I just started following you and I’m glad I did. The light bulb moment for me is when your talking about the mass of the club, never really knew why it was so beneficial to have a shorter backswing. I’ve always been more across the line and always having trouble shallowing the club. All makes sense now, thanks!

That’s great that it’s clicked! Yes you have it spot of now. Understand the mass & centre of gravity is crucial to having a repeatable & efficient swing

This is a light bulb moment! I’ve never been able to shallow the club… I paused the video, looked at my swing and saw I’m across the line with a short backswing length! This is going to be a game changer for me! Thank you Sir!!

I've been filming my swing recently and I've noticed I early extend. I have a short back-swing and up until the downswing I'm in a really good position, all the check points you mention. The bit I really struggle with is 'sitting into my left side and shift' (4:47). Instead, I either come down really step and early extend or swing over the top (still steep) and hit a slice. What drill can I do to sit into my left side and shift and eliminate the steep or over the top swing? On your other video you mentioned the 10% - 100% drill which I'm planning on doing, is there any others?

Chance are your top of the backswing structure isn’t right as it sounds like your body is reacting to a poor position

What if I am a long and would do better as a short? Or the other way around? How does one find the best movement??
@Gilesgillgolf
@Gilesgillgolf Жыл бұрын
If you’re long and want to be short you need to sync your arms up with your body better, maintain better width & then make sure your neutral to laid off
