Welcome to the first lesson from my 4-part "Master The Secrets of 2 Bar Jazz Drum Fills" lesson shorts series. In this series you will learn how to play classic 2 bar jazz drum fills using swung 8th notes played with three hand strokes, (RLR) and one bass drum note. This classic jazz drum fill concept was used by Philly Joe Jones, Max Roach, Buddy Rich and other jazz drumming legends.
In this lesson, I will teach you the basic pattern, show you a nice sounding variation and have you play it from a swing time feel.
