Totally agree, I really enjoy Wagler fishing with a rod and reel now it's getting colder I got my maggots, £4 for a pint, and I'm going off tomorrow to hopefully catch some fish.

Absolutely the most fun and technical of all float fishing. From shallows to distance and deep fishing fish small or big wagglers fishing takes the cake!

Really starting to enjoy waggler fishing again having not done any since I was a nipper. Love the pole, and the feeder but wanted to add this in for both matches and pleasure fishing. Just got the Supera 13ft for Xmas, and twinning it up with a 320 Centris NT (not the 420 as Lee selected) as I was limited to using my 11ft Pellet Waggler and missing out a bit on distance and line pickup. Hoping to get it used for the first time in the week, and this video has really helped.

I'm getting a bit jaded with feeder fishing. This looks a shedload of fun so I'm going to give it a go. Haven't used a float for about 20 years!

Fished the waggler in the 1970 And still have sessions doing it ,seen some average anglers take the pole away and they may as well go home

I've just started fishing. Last time I went was when I was 16 and went spinning, caught it cooked it and ate it whilst camping around 45 years ago. The pole thing honestly just doesn't really do it for me sorry. I'm a bit stuck. I've been watching all the videos of when they plumb up and get about 5 feet or so but when I tried it with my lad it just kept going and I gave up in the end. I was on the river and somebody said that it's around 14ft in some places. I'm a bit confused on how I fish there now? I left it at around 4/5ft or so and still caught a couple of tiny perch and a baby Chubb. It's pretty slow flowing. River or Avon in Eckington, Worcestershire. Any help for a confused newbie? We are still absolutely loving it by the way 👍😊

The video (unintended) and the comments all point towards the snobbery that has developed around fishing. This method for me IS fishing. Everything else has grown up to sell idiots tackle and kit they don't need. Fished my local pond like this yesterday for a few hours and bagged about 30 pounds worth on maggot. I was surrounded by carp bivvys and pole rests and no one else was catching! All complaining that it was "too hot" "too cold" "too windy". But all packed their thousands of pounds of kit on their stupid massive trollies while tacking the pee out of my Korum back pack, folding chair and single rod set up. I spent £3 on maggots they threw £30 of boilies in to achieve nothing.

You actually take more tackle than me! The heaviest item I carry is my flask! I've never encountered any snobbery, match anglers obviously have to take the kitchen sink, they can't be messing about rerigging after a tangle or setting a rod up or rig mid match, threading line through eyes etc, someone doing that in a match would be laughed off the bank! The way I always look at it is, if everyone fished like me, just with a stick float or waggler setup, the tackle industry and shops would have gone bust long ago. Commercials and the bivvy lads are the main reason, I can go into a tackle shop, buy some new floats, a new float rod, reel and a pint of reds! Diawa developed and brought to market my new float rod on the back of its sales and income from a market selling across the board, mainly carp gear and poles! Just imagine if the commercial industry ceased, the carp lads packed up, you know yourself your local tackle is stuffed with carp gear, boilies etc (leave em to it, each to their own)......but we can still hand our box over the counter, pint of reds please!

Best method ever in the world, was as sick as a parrot when the pole came into use but if you didn’t learn to use a pole you had to pack up match fishing or get left behind

Lee, is that thicker piece of line down to the hook length, or in between the reel line, like in the middle part?

75cm is not even close to justify "fast retrive"... is slow as hell ... magnitude is much better real for waggler fishing.
