Thanks for the mention Glen!! I love fishing weeds, and will fish weeds right from opener till freeze up. Some of the longest LOTW fish I've seen and boated came from the back end of a weedy bay. Very few will fish the slop in July and August!! We will have the spinnerbaits available for everyone soon. Just waiting on the hooks for this lure, these are well worth the wait!! Keep up the good work!!

I love the visual charts! It really helps me understand the vegetation patterns. I fish structures exactly like this on lake st Clair. I've moved a ton of fish in those areas but couldn't get them to eat multiple times, different times of the day and year. But this gives me a much better understanding. Thank you!

Appreciate you watching! I've never fished St Clair but have heard many things about it. On most bodies of water, find vegetation, you will find the bait fish. Super happy to hear you will be able to take something from this video and relate to your fishing! Appreciate you finding us!

@@54orbust oh man you're missing out! If you ever get a chance, make it a bucket list destination to fish! It's a huge body of water so you may want to contact a guide. The guys today's angler have use get them great results out there. Mark and Mike. I've met Mike duche before and he put me on on fish my next trip and he wasn't even with me! Just super helpful. That's why I love the musky community.

Hi Glen, another great video using the white board, I am learning a ton of new information. In addition to bucktails, I love throwing Suicks and Lee Lure Flaptails and the larger Flap 9 over weeds as well, they have proven successful. Looking forward to the next video.

Another awesome video, thanks. I am learning so much that will help on our home lake. I got my big one last year on a topwater over sand near weeds, similar to what you are talking about here. I saved this video to a folder and will review again before we hit the water this year.

I would add walk-the-dog as a fave of mine for covering wide swaths of cabbage and in tight to shore. Cabbage is king and a must fish, but amazing what junk weeds or reeds can hold if they are adjacent to other good structure.
@54orbust
@54orbust 2 жыл бұрын
Yep, you're not wrong with a wtd. We use a bunch of them but don't have a lot of footage with them. As long as the weeds don't break the surface you can cover a lot of water!

Hi Glenn, excellent video, a lot of great information for different situations on the water. For over weedy areas as long as there not up the the surface I use Suicks, Bobby baits, Reef hangs, Gooch’s tallywacker and my walk the dog bait is the Z180 by Stidham baits no longer made. Once again great educational content. Thanks for sharing 🎣

Thanks for watching as always! We started using more suick's last year and we are getting a special run of Hi Impact suick's made up in our signature silver jailbird. Hoping they do awesome for us this year. Look for a giveaway soon for one of those, as we look to get a couple in the hands of our supporters!

I like to use 6" phantom softails or similar shallow glide baits on the same type of weed beds like I mentioned before, on lsc and they have been pretty productive. I find it a little more productive with a single 8 or 1oz spinnerbait, or a custom curly tail rubber baitfish(like a bulldawg) that I make. Something a little more weed friendly. I understand every body of water is different and situations are different. But maybe it will help someone out. :)

Do you guys fish those loonie sized Lilly pads on nipissing we find tons of fish buried deep in them
@54orbust
@54orbust 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Up in northwestern Ontario when you find the lily pads you find the red stringy weeds or one weed. Pretty tough to fish up here and the fish usually prefer cabbage if its available. We'll make a point to check some of it more often next season!

How do your techniques differ for North facing weed/sand bays?) Does that North wind blowing into it affect muskie movement in spring post spawn?
@54orbust
@54orbust Жыл бұрын
Thx so much for watching! We typically don't fish a lot of North facing bays until we get into warner water periods. In our area post spawn fish don't tend to use north facing areas. If, and when they do, with North wind, we would tend to look for the best drop off points leading out of those bays. Or find the sand drops along the outer edges.

What is the white boat with the high front deck you guys are often fishing out of in your videos?
@54orbust
@54orbust 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Luke, thanks for watching! The white boat is my older model BassCat Pantera II The deck looks high but that's because the gunnels are so low. In reality the front deck is only a foot or so off the water while fishing. Thanks for tuning in!
