I love the idea of having a sewing machine. I like this one, cylinder arm, hand crank to give me at least a perception of control. I can't convince myself the price makes it worthwhile. Also saddle stitching is just a superior stitch. But my shaky hands from meds the VA gives me mostly makes me forget about my reasoning when it comes to sewing bags.

I love Weaver Leather supply, but 2 grand? It's a bit much for a hand-crank machine. When handling saddle panels and hand bags, you really need both hands to manipulate them. I'd need a third hand just to stitch. No thanks, guys.

$2,000 for a small, one-handed manual machine with no stand, no work table, and a short spindle arm. For $900 more you can get a fully-powered heavy duty electric with a 16.5" arm, adjustable height work station, etc. Besides, you need TWO hands to do curves and more intricate work.

Nice- but being made of aluminum I find it hard to believe it will be durable- and at $2,000 it's far to expensive to take the risk.

​@@morgan5941the cowboy matching is 1.5k and has everything lol. Still this machine is very pretty, for a show it looks extra hand made, electric looks too industrial. For showmanship it's worth it

Exactly! I'll keep stitching by hand as well. There is no way I'll pay 2K for that, no matter how good it is. You can buy another brand with an electric motor and speed reducer with a table for less than that.
