I ran into the same 'parity' or false equivocation with the 3 center pieces swapped front to back. I tried to resolve it in a similar way to the X1 but it cycles four middle corners out and now im not sure what to do lol!

Not very happy with the turning on this one. I saw it at a bookstore on my last visit to the US and couldn't bear to leave without it. Falls apart and catchy.... I took it apart and it uses a different mechanism than I expected, which might be why.
