I just discovered you guys and your content is amazing, as a new player your videos help me a lot! And I got to say the editing of this video is SO GOOD compared to other channels or stuff you see on TV. Keep up the great work!💥

The AMG Distance Wedge System has transformed my game and how I play. AMG+ content goes into even greater detail on how to hit these shots and I highly recommend it. Great to see the new place and your newest team member, Nick. With all you guys have going on, can't believe you are still finding time to create this KZbin content. Thanks for all you do!

Great video! I believe Tom Kite used this system back in the day, and he’s in the hall of fame! So simple and effective, thanks for the step by step explanation.

Using games to practice is always best because of the stress it brings, similar to playing golf, each swing has consequences. Thanks for sharing. Kudos to growing your company and welcome Nick to the AMG family. Cheers.

Hi Guys, Shaun , Mike, and welcome Nick, great video i Have a question on the matrix ? ie; Ref: hip to shoulder, means back swing to Hip and follow through to Shoulder, would this be correct ?
@nickduffygolf Жыл бұрын
It refers to hip to shoulder on the follow through. I suggest get the big 3 first hip to hip, rib to rib and shoulder to shoulder then you can start to mix in the others to fill any gaps

Great video, thank you. Any insight on carry versus total yards as I struggle to control total distance (vs carry) based on various green conditions and elevation.
@AthleticMotionGolf Жыл бұрын
Depends on a lot of factors. Hard to give a system for that because of so many variables. Get good at nailing down your carry yardages and everything will flow from there

Enjoyed this video. I got taught a really good wedge system that works amazingly for me: Start with one club’s width between your feet and do a comfortable swing. Feet together will restrict what is comfortable so it will be a shorter swing. Let’s say that goes 70 yards with a 54 degree. Then do the same but with two club lengths between the feet. That might go 80 yards. Then 3 clubs length. Do the same with all your wedges and you have an incredibly easy way to cover all distances without having to correctly feel what a ‘half swing’ feels like.

You mean the club head's width I presume otherwise stance will be too big

You guys have help me change my swing just from watching your videos and practicing in the house I take it to the driving range and I am getting closer for sure. The trouble I’m having is the down transition and re-Centering. It’s feels sloppy and I am also working on the butt of the club which obviously has to do with my left wrist cup and I need to try to figure out how to be more deliberate stopping the backswing….. idea’s

Been working on thiS for a while in a similar way, keeping records in my notebook carried inside my yardage book but i find it varies from week to week and sometimes i really blow it. On any day i can be really off say a 50 yd stock shot and fly a green. Think i just need to get more practice reps because when it works its incredible and definitely not an accident. Saves a lot of putts Thanks for the spreadsheet.

@@AthleticMotionGolf yes, well i am just a recreational golfer so...yesterday i used matrix sheet for the first time. I had previously been using only three basic positions with each wedge and none from the hip position which i find difficult. The results were amazing really. I noticed how many say 50 yd. options i had throughout the matrix and this gave me so many trajectory possibilities and other variables to manage! I did not look at my previous notes at all and the results were outstanding. Folks please try this. I established my parameters by hitting only three balls per position so i expect there will be changes. I have much work to do yet but i really want everyone to try this. I was careful to maintain the same setup and tempo for each shot and expect this to get even more consistent over time. I wont tweek say by widening stance until i pretty automatic. You guys have done two things to radically improve my game. This and the backswing to the right shoulder tip are golden. If i didnt live on the west coast of Canada i would be a regular in your studio. Amazing stuff! Thanks

I didnt see any mention of spin and roll out. Its nice to carry a ball the correct yardage, but roll out/spin/check determine closeness to the hole. How to practice that is the question?
@marktheblake Жыл бұрын
I did this a while ago, but I did 3 swings and 3 grips, full grip, then choke down 1" and 2". Found that each inch created a 5m difference. Is there a reason why you also dont suggest choking down?
@AthleticMotionGolf Жыл бұрын
You can choke down to take more distance off no doubt
@creamabdul-jabbar6722 Жыл бұрын
Say you have overlap, like 60 degree shoulder goes say 75 but the 56 hip to hip goes 75 how would you play the shot? Would it be mainly the lay of the land how the greens laying? Because I'm guessing a hip to hip 56 would come out lower with more roll out used better for when the green goes up and the 60 would be better when you need it to stop quicker? These are just random numbers of course but want to get a general understanding of how each shot should check or roll

As I was watching my Cubs get hammered by the Red Sox, I was also watching this video. One thing I noticed with my wedges is anytime I swing rib high and above, like my full regular swing I sometimes have the habit of getting my hands trailing my right thigh at P6. Does the swing on regular full shots remain basically the same for wedge shots. I know there is no weight shift as the weight starts and stays on the left side. As far as the arms we are still making sure are hands are opposite the right thigh in the delivery position and from there it is rotation, correct? Thanks in advance.
