When Breakpoint was announced my first thought was "This is too soon" and then I saw the gameplay and my entire gut just twisted and my love for the franchise died that day. Ghost Recon has hilariously fallen from grace and I hope that the remastered versions of the old games which have been "teased" are good. Been saying since GRAW 2 that they should remaster the games with either the GRAW system or the GRFS system but keep it realistic and the games would be great! it wasn't until Breakpoint did everyone realize how good Wildlands was. I remember alot of people calling this game mediocre or average or even disappointing. Sure, there are (alot of) repetitive moments, but all in all I liked it. Bolivia in this game feels much more alive than Auroa. Though I wish some improvements that they made in Breakpoint was also patched here like the better movement. If anything, I do agree that this isn't a Ghost Recon title. Just like how the current Rainbow Six: Siege isn't really a Rainbow Six title.

The game is just paper thin beyond your loadout

I recently uninstalled breakpoint and went back to wildlands, and I'm having much more fun. Personally, I feel that wildlands is more realistic and believable than breakpoint. Sure it isn't perfect but the atmosphere and world make the game feel much more alive. I do wish that the gear looked more authentic though. Although the enemies may be repetitive, they are what I expect to see from a militarized cartel. Breakpoint's enemies feel like something out of the division and less of what I expect to see in a ghost recon title. Even the way they fight is similar to the division. Overall, wildlands feels much more complete and diverse to me and I definitely believe that it's worth it in 2020. It's a fun game to play with or without friends. Or better yet the story itself in wildlands was WAY ahead from breakpoints pointless story set on an island that should make you feel like you are legitimately being hunted when really you’re not, like how can I take breakpoint seriously when a pack of wolves who are supposedly the “most elite type of enemies who can combat ghosts easily” somehow manage to easily get killed with a few bullets like regular enemies, or better yet just killing them by running them over with a broken down bike... on hard difficulty🤷🏻♂️

Here's my two cents: When I was younger, I spent countless hours playing the SOCOM series. To me, Wildands is like a modern version of SOCOM. Sure it lacks some of the features SOCOM had, like commanding your fireteam or some of the unique humor SOCOM had, but overall for me it's a great game and especially if you get paired with good players in CO-OP. What I like about about Wildlands: 1.Your team's humor. 2. The line: "What are you a SEAL? Because I don't know any quiet professionals that need something like that" 3. Sync shot. 4.Walking through a small town or village with no mission or objective and a firefight breaks out with the cartel. What I don't like: 1. Your teams inability to conserve ammo. (or hit targets for that matter) 2. Unidad and the Cartel are sandbags and absorb all bullets. 3. The rebels can be useless at times. 4. The enemy always seems to know where you're hiding even if you haven't been spotted.

I got wildlands a whole 3 years ago when it first game out, I got it around September or so and man oh man was it a experience. When I first started out there was so much to do, I mainly got it because my friends kept telling me to get it so I could play with them. And my first mission i ever did was with them and they made me put it on extreme difficultly. So after that mission I forget I had it on extreme so I play through the entire game on extreme without even noticing. And man it was hard but it made it so much fun. I made a whole ton of memories playing with them in that game for months and even a year. When the first spec ops update came out it got me so excited for. The amount of support and love Ubisoft gave to this game post launch made me really happy. It is without a doubt one of my favorite military shooters out there. With the amount of customization, places, unlockables, skills, stories and special items to collect like Sam Fisher's goggles and Caveria's gloves made it so much fun. And speaking on that, the cross overs they had in this game was definitely fan services for fans of Ubisoft games. This game for me is a definite 9/10. Considering there were some bugs and things that annoyed me throughout the game. Especially the ways I could die in Ghost Mode. But other than that, it is a solid game. One of Ubisoft's best.

Thanks for this video man, planning to pick Wildlands up. I don't know what it is but recently been playing the older Tom Clancy titles. Just reinstalled Division 1 & enjoying it a lot. Will probably have the same level of fun with this one.

Pretty good overall review, I would have liked to know more about multiplayer and how it compares to call of duty warzone which is my current favorite, but I'd say yes it seems well worth buying, and I love those graphics by the way, graphics will always either make or break my decision on getting a game

Yeah man!! I was thinking about picking up Breakpoint, but after watching the reviews on wild lands, I’ll most likely pick up wild lands. I loved Future soldier, and to me wildlands is more similar to it, gameplay wise, than Breakpoint.

Definitely, Wildlands is a good game and more true to the Ghost Recon series. I hope you enjoy it!

I hope Tom Clancy makes a game that gives us the choice to be in parts of the world with each mission, kinda like Modern warfare, where we go to Iraq, Afghanistan, work as Delta Force, DEVGRU or even Green berets, 75th regiment, MARSOC or Raiders! I want a game where we can do rescue more missions, highly classified missions, drop offs, etc..

Although the missiles in the game are annoying there's nothing cooler than bailing out of a burning helicopter and parachuting just in time as it explodes just underneath you

I recently started playing again for the first time in over a year. I had gotten pretty burned out before since I'd literally done every mission dozens of times, but switching to a no-HUD, realistic role play has really reinvigorated the game play for me. I'm also not leveling up any damage resistance/vehicle damage stuff to make it even more challenging. Honestly, firefights are way more intense now than they were back when I first started the game. For me, the replay-ability of GRW is its greatest attribute.

I couldn’t agree more and making a game more realisitic with no hud is great for immersion and definitely adds to the suspense. I’m gonna have to try that thank you for sharing.

I recently started playing MGS 5 without a HUD and I also took the crosshair cursor off . The only time I see how much ammo I have is when I switch weapons. It feels like a whole different game. I find I get more anxiety trying ot to get detected because the enemies aren't marked. I'm going to have to pick this game up and start playing without a HUD.

It is very addictive and fun. Especially after I upgraded my quiet running, detection, and unlocked the executioner knife takedown. And for my AI teammates, I created Snake Eyes from GI Joe, young Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell, and Snake( Big Boss) from Metal Gear Solid complete with El Jefe's cigar. Yeah I like this game too.

I have had Wildlands for 3 years now and I keep going back to it because it is so fun. I'd highly recommend you to get it if you haven't. The game has tons of missions and side missions which will keep you occupied for months. The storyline missions are very well done which really kept me intruged every time I felt kinda burned out. I only felt burned out because of how many of the missions I had to do, and I tried to rush through. Definitely take your time with the game and enjoy it. This game could also act as GTA where you can cause havoc and waves of enemies come, but be careful because you can be easily overwhelmed. Overall it is a 10/10 and one of my favorite games of all time. If you are wondering if you should get it, definitely try it because at the low price it is now, it is worth every penny

Imo, Wildlands and Breakpoint are good solid games. I think one of the main reasons people utterly despised Breakpoint was that Aurora was lack luster of any civilians and feels rather dead, because the island is under one giant curfew. Personally, i don’t care whether there’s civilians or not. It feels unique. I like that the main threat isn’t even human, but artificial.

Instead of releasing breakpoint, they should have added things like bipods and stocks to wild lands. Wild lands had a better world and story that felt more realistic, like that could actually happen.

It got some nice additions but it lacks so much polish and direction. I totally blame some exec or the lead dev for pushing this game before it was ready. It sucks for everyone who worked their asses off on this when they knew it wasn't ready and people would shit on it.

Wildlands is a freakin good game! When it came out I honestly can't pinpoint why people hated on it so much. Possibly a few big name youtubers gave it a bad wrap. I remember SkillUp made a video on it saying it's pretty bad and a lot of people followed his lead. Also the division at the time was still relatively hot and people said this was just too similar when in fact it was almost nothing like it.
@masterassassin7914 жыл бұрын
Agreed

That's why I don't listen to youtubers. I don't even know why people think that they're some celebrity. I can happily say that I ignore most "popular" youtubers like skill up and clean prince because I don't care what they have to say, and my opinions are different than theirs. I played the beta for wildlands and I enjoyed it enough to buy the game. Been playing wildlands since 2017 and never had a dull moment
