Assassin's Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris DLC | Actually NOT Terrible

Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Siege of Paris DLC is actually NOT terrible. My expectations for Siege of Paris were very low after how bad the Wrath of the Druids DLC was and I can at least say that Siege of Paris surpassed those low expectations. I still wouldn't call it great or anything like that but the new infiltration missions were a huge step in the right direction. In my opinion, Unity has top 3 best gameplay out of all AC games (together with Brotherhood and 4). Today it's pretty solid, only a couple of bugs here and there and the story is pretty weak. But playing it feels just right for Assassin's Creed.

i personnally really loved the dlc the stealth was way more viable (even though insta spot is still annoying), because of the design of the missions. Also i really loved how paris has closer building that made parkour somewhat viable (even though the animations are still super slow). For armor, the reaper set actually helps with no getting inta spoted.

I'm sorry to say this, but seeing this title and reading some of these comments just stood out as kinda funny but kinda sad to me at the same time. Image going to Dunkin' Donuts and then writing a review and praising them on a comment section since "I actually didn't contract a deadly disease from this donut". And I get it. Assassin's Creed used to be my favorite piece of entertainment ever, but after wasting 120 hours on Odyssey and another 130 hours on Valhalla (even though I knew those games weren't worth that much of my time) coupled with the facts that this company does some really shady business practices just to milk us out of our money as well as harassing their own employees, I realized that there's no way I'm ever buying anything from them ever again. Even watching videos about AC makes me feel disgusting now. Assassin's Creed will never be good again. I suggest you to find a new hobby people.

The dlc needed more gear sets. Wraith of Druids had like 5 gear sets while siege of Paris has 2. At least there was a ton of cool weapons in siege of Paris. And as you said the infiltration missions were badass. Wearing the basim outfit while doing these missions actually made me feel like I was playing assassin creed.

The infiltration missions were a delight, I can't believe we get to do Assassin stuff in Assassin's Creed for once. The social stealth was actually really useful too. A bit miffed they didn't do more with the Hidden Ones, but it's better than nothing at all.

Really enjoyed infiltrating Odo's palace. Having to find different people to get clues where to go, avoid the patrolling guards, and collecting keys for all the doors, as boring as that actually sounds, was very refreshing.

I refuse to play this DLC (i bought the season pass tho) but there is no creed, nor assassins, or brotherhood. And it is weird. Also no Rollo is not part of the main campaing, which is even weirder. I saw some Assassinations and actually looks cool, but still, is still not my Assasssin's creed Style. Sad!

Seige of paris is still not that great but atleast tolerable compared to wraith of the druids...The main problem i have with the game is not the grind or the stealth.. it is the length and after some time it gets boring..although the ending was good with the modern day... i atleast hope if they make another dlc then they make it a good one..although ubisoft has gone to shit since 2021...they were redeeming themselves for some time with the upgrade from odyssey to valhalla but :(

(Spoiler depending on your choices) I’m pretty sure if you spare Sigfred that he leaves to become an Assassin/Hidden One. Just all about how he sets out to find a new way sounds like the perfect set up for him. We saw earlier in the story that he runs on rooftops and he already is practically in Assassins Garb where I questioned that the note at the Bureau was from him because of that until I saw him kill innocents confirmed he wasn’t but I think he will be and that’s what he’s leading to do. He even talked about not believing in Valhalla and a whole total change of life like what I thought would lead Eivor to join the Assassins/Hidden One’s but of course Eivor is too stubborn a a side character seems to most likely get the arc that Eivor should’ve had.

I am tired of dark, depressing setting of 9th century England and wish something new in Paris. But no, it is the same dilapidated Rome relics and wilderness. Why not bring back "same location, different time period mechanism" like Unity and Syndicate where you can experience Paris and London in different time period. I enjoy parkouring through Paris metro tunnels and climbing up the Eiffel Tower as I fight my way through Nazis, plus the WW1 London. Man, I miss the old days.

..........Other than the fact that you do absolutely ZERO sieging and the big siege you spend hours preparing for what ends up being another stupid as hell key treasure hunt while the awesome exciting siege happens around and completely independent of you. Ubisoft REALLY knows how to build momentum only to slam on the brakes when you start getting immersed. They don't know how to handle a story climax in the slightest. The writers should be relegated to ONLY working on Friday the 13th reboots and sequels. The climax couldn't be mishandled worse if the writer/director of "the room" handled it. I beat the main game, I beat siege of paris; BOTH had more endings than return of the king.

Really don't get the hate that gets flung at Valhalla. Leave Ubi out of it; that's another topic. Yeah the main campaign wore me out but after a few months I came back to the game and have been having the time of my life just simply exploring (and murdering). If there's a dot on the map, I must have at it. I personally thought Ireland was gorgeous, and the story wasn't bad at all. I don't expect Dostoevsky when I play a video game.

I enjoyed it overall. Just wish they did away with the Rebel missions. Especially since they're copy and pasted. Yeah but what about Alfred? Why haven't we seen the inevitable continuation that Alfred would eventually take back Wessex!!!? How has this not been included in a DLC that takes place after the events of Alfred's expansion to create a unified England!? That would actually make sense if you were fighting for the survival of your clan, but clearly neither of those factors were an issue to whether Ravensthorpe survives or not.
