@@NoEyeDeerOutdoors Clean the Hell outta it after every 2 big cooks. Bought the LSS Mods and that helps with the hopper smoking chunks. The manifold cover is a must. Also the bigger cook rack is nice. Overall…use a powerful Dawn soap for greased racks rinse well with water then burn for 20 minutes before putting meat on. Enjoy!

@@NoEyeDeerOutdoors cooked NY Strip steaks on the 800. Smoked with 5 pieces of Mesquite Chunks on ash bin grate. 250 degrees til internal was 105. Took off and added a Dusting of seasoning. Cranked the 800 to 700 degrees then Seared each piece for about 1 minute -1 min 15 then rotated for sear marks. Flipped meat and repeat process. Best steak ever!

I have a 1050. My switch by the charcoal hopper went on me. I fixed it, but it only lasted a few cooks and then went back to not working. I decided to remove the plunger style switch and replaced it with a manual rocker switch that I mounted on the external heat shield wall, outside of the hopper. Hasn't failed yet, it's been over a year now and many cooks. The lower switch, by the ash bucket went as well. I just pig-tailed the wires together on that one.

Thanks for checking out the video and providing his good feedback. I think I’m going to wire the lid and bucket Oliver’s to one rocker switch then the lid to another rocket switch.

Thanks for the review. You are 100% right about the control part of the MB series. Mine went out, but only the screen part. The MB actually still works but I have no clue what my temp is set to because it's a blank screen. Not to mention before my screen went blank when I set a temp at say 500 degrees it showed that its only like 300 degrees in the grill. This was after a year using it and cooking on it a ton. I sent pictures and such to MB to see what they will do about it. Pretty disappointing that they didn't set that stuff up better and also the build quality. If rec tec made one I believe theirs would last 3 times as long as I am expecting the MB to last. If I could do it over again and I knew about these other gravity feeds, I would have went that route. I saw MB and I had to get it because of the charcoal flavor you would get, not knowing about old country or myron mixon gravity feeds that you can attach a fan to, to control the temps like the MB. Hopefully I can get this fix, but right now I can't get an Old country as they are sold out and myron is $4k lol. I am trying to get the myron if the wife lets me.

We can't get ours to work.. Tried every step from the book and customer service tips.. But it doesn't work. The sensor from the hood doesn't work. The fan keeps blowing while it should shut off when opening the hood. Very frustrating, this is our 2nd try. First had a temperature problem. Anyone know what could be the problem? Are we just that unlucky..

Any info where I can get the griddle for gravity 800 MB is sold out ?
@chadlandsinger59992 жыл бұрын
With my Masterbuilt 1050 I've connected my grill to my phone with the Wi-Fi but it seems like all I can do is monitor the meat temps with the probe that connects to the grill, monitor the grill cooking temp, and I can also change the grill cooking temps from the phone. The one thing that I wanted it to do is do all of that while I'm away from home (not on the same Wi-Fi network) but it won't let me or has difficulties in doing so. Do you know how great it would be to be able to put pork butt or a brisket on the grill in the morning before you left for work and then monitor it all day while at work so when you get home from work that it's ready to eat. Better yet, do you know how awesome it would be to monitor a meat cooking on the grill while out on the lake or in the woods all day? Masterbuilt needs to up their Wi-Fi App game just a little bit, more like Traeger as done with their Wi-Fi App control.
@daaim02 жыл бұрын
I acknowledge this is a bit techy but you can set up your own home VPN, which you can connect to from anywhere. This will allow you to connect to your home wifi connected bqq.
@NoEyeDeerOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s waaaaay to techy for Chad. You have to keep things 1+1 = 2 for that guy. We haven’t heard of the home vpn idea before, but it makes sense and would be really awesome!
@chadlandsinger59992 жыл бұрын
@@NoEyeDeerOutdoors I thought 1+1 = 11. You're telling me I've been wrong all of these years? Damn. What's a VPN? Vasectomies Prevent New (kids)? I tried unloaded and then re-downloaded the Masterbuilt App for the Masterbuilt Gravity grills/smokers and it's still a pain in the butt to use. They claim they fixed the app at the beginning of June, but it still had a hard time connecting to a wi-fi signal.

How did the 7 pork butt cook go? I’ve been thinking about one to do some small scale pop up catering with.
@NoEyeDeerOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
I eventually pulled it off, but it took 3-4 more hours longer than a normal single butt. It did fine but if you’re looking at doing some small scale catering, I’d look at an offset. This would do but you’ll burn through a ton of fuel. Thanks for checking us out!
@robertlamont26112 жыл бұрын
@@NoEyeDeerOutdoors thanks for the reply! It’s a cost problem for me. I’m in the U.K. and a good offset would be £4000 I can pick up an 800 or 1080 for £800.00 or £1000.00. Cheers for the reply though!!!

Is the 800 better than the 560 with regard to grease draining? I know the 560 sucks.

Would you go to the bigger one for just $99 more?
@NoEyeDeerOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
We can’t say with 100% certainty because we haven’t had both, only the 800…..however, we believe the griddle option on the 800 out-weighs what is gained in cooking grid size on the larger one. I’m sure some may disagree, but that’s our hot take. Thanks for checking us out!
