Nice! I heard they are 3 weeks out, I think the giant Chinese container ship is almost here! I am waiting for 1050s to come in too. I offered Masterbuilt help unloading the containers but they said they were OK , Dammit! I was hoping I could save another weeks wait while they ship them to the stores!

Independent retailers are backordered til mid or end of May, but I got word from Home Depot customer service that the 1050 should be in their stores and online some time in July.

Also, is the 1050 built better or is the 1050 just beefier to keep up with the added weight? I'm trying to decide if the extra 300 is worth it. To put it in perspective, I own a kamado Joe big Joe and use it about 4 times a year due to my Joe jr being so much efficient on fuel.

I am reading about potential problems with heat wear too early with the firebox on the 560. Someone barely had it for a month and the metal wore out. Any changes on that with the 1050? This is a big concern. Exposed styrofoam was mentioned.

Tangier Clarke we’ve been told they’ve made improvements in this area. It’s hard to tell on these two assembled units.

I've heard that Masterbuilt's response to that is that it isn't Styrofoam, but heat baring material similar to what they use for outdoor pizza ovens. The metal was to protect it during shipping and you should expect it to burn away in use. This was 3rd hand from another forum so take it with a grain of salt.

Not easily…billows fan would take place of the stock fan. That would require some work.

Looking at the shot at the end of the inside of the lid on the 1050, it looks shiny. Is that a covering for shipping or did they address the paint blistering they had on on the 560?

If you are like me, and love the flavor of charcoal grilled meat, do NOT buy this grill. The charcoal is merely your heat source and your meat is never exposed to direct heat over the coals. Reverse searing results in some minimal charcoal flavor, but high heat grilling like burgers or chicken breast, absolutely NO charcoal flavor. That's why all of these videos they use so much seasoning or rubs. So if you love the taste of charcoal do not waste 500.00 dollars here, stick with your Weber Kettle. Sorry guys

I bought a MB that was a total lemon. It ended up on the curb for scrap. Great concept but flimsy materials and sloppy construction. You couldn't give me anything made by this company.
