Q - Why do VC’s invest only in a loss making company/ burning companies and why not in a profit making startup. Cz I’ve a certain perspective on this topic. People talk about investing, raising funds, etc. But never discuss who to make a company profitable because what I feel doesn’t matter what is the nature of business, the end motive is to make the company profitable and not the VC’s on the investments profitable. In your recent podcast, there was a good discussion on raising funds, VC’s making money, taking exits, etc. But there was no discussion no how to make a company profitable and make the investors worth their hard earned money and time valuable. Then all the people in the panel discussed on the nations growth etc, how it is possible when the company is not making money, just burning it in the name of market test, customer acquisition. I feel if the company makes profits , then there will be less layoff, more hiring, more wealth creation which will ultimately lead to nation’s growth. Hope to have a conversation with you some day on the same.
