Andy can you cover the "Onetastic" add-on for Onenote? I installed it for a particular macro that optimises the "zoom level" on Onenote on windows so it can be viewed better on Onenote android. But it has some problems.

Hi Andy does this also work with Microsoft Teams meetings?
@sawomirsliwicki537311 ай бұрын
I think there are two independent recording method. You can record meeting in teams i.e. screen recording with voice or in 1note you can use voice recording tool.

I wonder the same question. In teams meeting, it involves both speaker and microphone. In onenote, the setting is only for microphone. Not sure if this will only pick up what you are speaking in the meetings and not the others.

It would be great if this feature actually worked. Full time college student and I have less than half of my recordings with actual audio. I can see the playback and it acts like it is playing something, and shows time, but no sound comes out. My pc is a Surface Pro. I dont have any other options for digital note taking and its so frustrating to be missing out on these very important lectures.

check what size the audio recording has. Chances are it is recorded but too quiet so put speakers on max volume in order to hear it. Alternative would be to buy a sony voice recorder

I'm taking an online course, and I always study and watch my classes in a library, with headphones on. In this case, is there any way to record/transcribe what I hear on my headphones? It seems like it would only work if I had the speakers on, which is a no-go for me...

Apparently you have to code some sort of thing that views your internal audio as an external audio source. I've seen blackhole referenced. My only workaround for now has been to use my cell on speaker, to do audio for my meetings, and mute my laptop while one note records from external source. Still searching which is how i ended up here...

This is great feature with a huge BUT! Many college professors do not like to be recorded even when it is a disability accommodation. Also recording conversations, lectures, meetings, and other events can be illegal. You need to be aware of the local and your state laws before doing so. It would be wise to have a disclaimer at the beginning and throughout any video discussing the use of recording programs and devices.

Yes, this is an important point. Even when recording without explicit consent is legal, it's best practice and courtesy to inform all parties before recording. And in a professional environment, check your corporate policies and guidelines before recording a meeting.

it's not illegal to record anything. it's a matter of whether or not such recordings are admissible as evidence in court. And most professors will be video recorded these days, and if they are uppitty about accommodations that is what the slips are there for, is to force them. good day!
