are aaplog to aapas me hi bhid liye IIT vs non IIT(mai ek tier 3 college se hu jisme 5k bacche hai, unme se 2-3 bacche gaye faang whereas this year in IIT madras mtech cse, 60 me se 15-20 bacche gaye faang, now you can calculate the ratio and that's an IIT for you didi)

That will depend completely on your prep level before you start your gate preparation, have a complete roadmap with you as per resources you are required to follow, Eg: for solving maths problems in our junior classes, some students used to grab a concept by solving few problems but some required lots of problems to be solved to grasp that concept... And there are various methodologies as well which are required to learn new concepts... Other thing, till now how much you have already prepared in college + what more is required to be done, Accordingly make your personalised plan for prep

Disclosing package is not allowed, you can check online for salaries of sde2 in dell but I'm sure that data is outdated as well, but you can check various sites and as per market trend you can relate If it was some anonymous platform I would have disclosed

Agr 40 yr waalo ka layoff ho then it's fine, anyhow unk paas ab itni saving ho chuki hoti hai and usually people retire early in tech industry, I have seen such cases in my company people are retiring at this age, and if they get laid off then, surely they will get huge severance package, which is also a huge amount
