hey, I've done Bsc Hons. No only few elite IITs like IITK, IITB take interview that is mostly subjective and oral. IITK also gives coding problem. For oral interview, they generally ask you your fav subject and they ask you from that subject only. Only choose that subject which you are 100% confident about.

No, you can't. You could've got some courses at IISC if you would've done a 4 years BS degree in maths or stats, but in case of IITs it is not applicable. But you can apply for MS in Applied Statistics And Informatics which comes under the Mathematics Department of IITB on clearing the JAM exam. This sub-division (ASI) is quite awesome in terms of placements and research purposes.
