Thank you a lot Pedro for this tutorial By the way, do you know a shader that can apply a gradient from the palette to a surface ? I've been looking for this for so long .. Thank you
@PedroCasavecchia2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thank you for watching! I have not heard of a shader that does that. It is probably hard to get as there is not editable UV space in Magicavoxel. If it's a complex surface it would be very hard to translate. But if it's a plane surface you can always import your image and chop it into pieces to accommodate your geometry.
@fanartfusebeads33682 жыл бұрын
where i can learn to code? it is JS or Phyton, or it uses magicavoxel commands? I need somenthing so special that i don't think anybody has do it a shader for.
@ArinJager1 Жыл бұрын
it's OepnGL Shader Language (aka GLSL)... I too ask the same question (I can't code >.>)... shader I'd like to have is a wood texture (mode_vis made one, but it's paid)

How do you use the noise shader on a already made model?

what are thoose outside of subfolders like pyramid and sand, that in most doesnt work?
@llYuki0okami Жыл бұрын
ahh i see there are not creating cubes, there are changings existing cubes by clicking "play" button right to the "Shader" inscription
@PedroCasavecchia Жыл бұрын
@@llYuki0okami Yes. Shaders are version dependent as well. So you will find that some of them used to work and don't on newer versions too. Some you click play, some you draw with the voxel shader mode. It's a bit of a mess, but still better than not having them!
@ArinJager1 Жыл бұрын
@@PedroCasavecchia yeah, some are "brush" (but not really, not like in photoshop or such programs - the one thing that I miss in MV, like I'd kill for having a spray can or air brush or something like that in MV), some are "primitive brush", and some are "volume" (going by the lachlan mcdonald's shaders, anyway)
@stefdevs2 жыл бұрын
It really upsets me that these are called shaders.
@PedroCasavecchia2 жыл бұрын
😂😂 there is probably a reason for that but yeah... No clue why haha
@ArinJager12 жыл бұрын
"brushes" would be better (or effects, maybe) [it's called "shaders" outside of MV, so... yeah... and they're not really "brushes", so... no]
@bakedbeings7 ай бұрын
They're not just called shaders, they are shaders: High Level Shader Language code that runs on the gpu and, in this case, draws voxels, which are just pixels with a z (or w) dimension added. Game engines use them, as do 3d modelling and texturing programs.

@@bakedbeings It absolutely astonishes me that someone who gets agitated over the name of something, wouldn't actually check that they correctly understood if the name was actually invalid - and that issue isn't down to their own lack of knowledge.
