Hi Sarah!! I'm so glad you liked it, it is definitely on the more complex side of things. After I posted the new texture lessons in Illustrator Artistry, I wanted to see one of my image tracings through to the final product - this design took me a few tries to get right!

Almost 20 min to make a seamless pattern - this is actually a great example, how outdated Illustrator and its workflow.

Art and teaching take time, can't always blame Illustrator, although sometimes I do ;-)

I actually agree. It's archaic. I can easily get an easier and better workflow with Affinity Designer and I can create patterns with live previews without a hustle. Also, in shorter time than this. I appreciate the creator of this video for taking the time to explain and teach. I'm only learning illustrator because it is somewhat the industry standard.
