Definitely appreciate this one! Very clunky settings but the tool is a welcomed addition to illustrator for sure. The properties panel adjustments are great to know about. Styling these was such a pain. Now it should be a little easier. Thanks!

Starting around 5:30 a Quick Action Box is used. This box is not included in my Dimension Tool Options box. How do you activate it ? Just got AI 2024 October.

Quick actions aren't available in the Dimension Tool Options dialog. They only appear in the Properties panel when you have a dimension selected.

As I remember, single click placement of dimensions weren’t possible before - or else I wasn’t using it properly. Can you set a layer not to print or do you have to resort to switching it off? Asking for an Autocad user.😂

Double click layer to find options, I can’t remember the name of the checkbox, but you will see the layer name italicized once it’s non-printing.

I really appreciate your video, but this tool is garbage. It works under a simple project, but for serious work, juts don't.

Yes, for those who need it for serious stuff, it's missing some crucial things, like updating scaling.
