Every episode has suffered this, they ignored the previous comments. I assume its made months ago and they don't want to re edit before smashing upload

It'll be interesting to use an eye tracking device on pro riders to understand better their focal points and their reaction times! Great content!!

I have been able to improve my trail vision by riding at night. With one light on the bars & another on my helmet, I'm able to take advantage of shining my helmet light "around corners"--where the trail is going--whereas the light on my bars shows where my bike is headed.

I've always said night riding helps you look ahead and not focus on irrelevant rock/roots in front of the front wheel

Let's all be honest it's hard to look past that dodgy rock/root/tree you are about to hit but when you do look at the next point the rewards are crazy.

So is PB racing going away from manitou suspension? This is video 2 with MRP ribbon forks. Or are you guys just testing out coil forks? I’m curious

A POV helmet camera would go a long ways when talking about vision. We need the rider’s perspective!

I always wondered - why do people fly flow over those roots/rocks,... ? I mean - you wanna flow - get tot air lines in parks. But roots and rocks - you need to feel each one of them, like offroad cruizing..

I think they’re coming at it just more from a racing perspective, but I agree, when riding for fun, plowing is where it’s at.

so its really not about where to look, its more like memorizing the trail to go fast

Entertaining but one of the least informative ones. But I bet it’s really hard to show this in a video because looking where you’re going vs where you want to go doesn’t really show in the video, it just ends up looking like line choice. Which is unfortunate because this probably is one of the most important things for cornering even over all the little tricks to leaning, weighting, etc, because you can do all those and still go straight off the trail if you aren’t looking thru the turn to the exit. Also it really helps going fast straight through the rough as well.

Ben is an awesome coach. But your mentee is a pro mtber and for my untrained eye all his attempts were equal and too cool. What I learned today was that if you are pro, you may become featured in one of Ben’s series. Please bring somebody who needs more of your help to improve.
