Phil don’t even reply to the haters , how many cars have I had come back since using you NONE is the answer, I never worry about car not starting or file not writing. I recommend anyone wanting to start mapping to use you

This is really interesting, I work in BMS controls where you have a controller (ECU) in a building with sensors and valves and motors connected to it with software to control them and we also use data logging so can really relate to this.
@Phil-Cooper6 ай бұрын
Yep pretty much the same thing! These days the cars have a stack of ecus controlling different things (body - engine - abs etc) and all talk to each other on a can network
@gavinstreet96946 ай бұрын
@@Phil-Cooper yes some of the BMS manufacturers use a can network for there input / output modules to communicate. Where do you start with learning this?

15:00 axis for the torque maps is in % pedal, while 80% throttle you see in the log is the actual angle sensor on the throttle body :)
@Phil-Cooper9 ай бұрын
It’s the throttle body that’s important, position of the throttle body has an inverse map dictated by pedal position. New age ecus rarely ever see 100%
@Nebbia_affaraccimiei9 ай бұрын
was only commenting on that specific map you were showing.. gets people confused if u mix the 2@@Phil-Cooper

Weird I made it louder too but thanks for the feedback I’ll test the next video! And drop me an email - phil@c4l1brate.com

Pedal maps are pedal position % not throttle body % - Drivers demand is always based on the pedal position
@Phil-Cooper9 ай бұрын
Yep but there is also inverse maps that dictate the position of the throttle body to the pedal position, new age ecus never run 100% unless you tell them too.

Does kess 3 not do data logging? Was thinking about getting it , cheers
@Phil-Cooper8 ай бұрын
Afraid not no! Flex - bflash - autotuner all offer data logging
@Vinnybhoy8 ай бұрын
@@Phil-Cooper thanks for the reply, I was nearly going with kessv3 but would that be crazy ? If I remap someone's car then the cars not running right it not be a nightmare as I can't data log to send the file back to the company that wrote it ?
