I followed along with your video and noticed that my shoulder rest is not on my collarbone. I'm a small framed person and I have the KUN shoulder rest set on the smallest width, yet it rests toward my shoulder, not on my collarbone. Also my instrument is very slanted vertically. So I'm not looking straight to the scroll. If I lift the right side of the violin 1.5", then I can sight down the FB to the scroll. But the long posts aren't going to accommodate that much lift. I really need the shoulder rest to be much more narrow, so I can be placed much more to the Button side of the violin. Then it would be on my collarbone. And held on with rubber bands because otherwise it wouldn't stay on.
