Wholy shoot. This plugin REALLY IS underrated. I think the part that makes it more confusing are all of the dials on the left (blue yellow etc.) and all of that space in between the right dials (saturation, etc.). They should update this plugin to fill in this space. Also man this tutorial us awesome thank you for everything. Wil most likely use this more often.

Just found you and so glad I did. Your videos are very helpful and you really seem to know what you're talking about. The amount of mixing and mastering videos on KZbin by people who are just tweaking knobs and not explaining things is ridiculous. I have no issues with creating beats and coming up with songs but I suck at mixing and mastering even after watching endless videos. Not sure if you have a mixing video In FL20 but if you do please point me in the right direction.anyway great channel. Super happy to have found you Keep up the good work!!

Is it necessary to use stereo widening in maximus while mastering if we had already added stereo widening in our mixing process?
@Unders2 жыл бұрын
stereo widening is never necessary but a choice to make. IF the mix is already wide it’s unlikely you would add more “width” at a later stage.

There's no simple answer to this, But if its clipping you a using maximus wrong as its able to limit a signal. Or the clipping is already happening and you are just making it louder.

@@Unders after turning snap to grid off is there any way of keeping the dot that you move to start compression stuck to the diagonal line?
@danacosta52374 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tutorial! I had a question though, will this master give out the max loudness or would you have to raise it so its at 0db afterwards with a limiter
@danacosta52374 жыл бұрын
I only ask because sometimes my tracks (I mostly make EDM) tend to be much quieter than other tracks on soundcloud. I know stuff will most likely start clipping if you raise it past 0db, but I dont know any other way to make your tracks louder besides proper eqing which I also usually do. Most of my sounds sit in their own frequency slot, maybe i need to mix better though.
@Unders4 жыл бұрын
Long story short, its not just about 0dB. I feel this video will help more than I can type kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqSuZIGIe7agrrM its about bringing up the overall loudness, We used to measure "RMS" now the standard is "LUFS" Also louder isnt always better an platforms like youtube will turn it down again anyway.
