I have a similar machine and I think you would have a lot to gain by adjusting the knife settings. It is normal to have to press in coarser branches because they tend to bounce off the knives, but as soon as the branches are not too coarse, the machine should confidently pull the branches to itself. To achieve the best results and performance, the distance between the knives and the counter-edge should be 0.5mm. This will make the machine work much more efficiently and the chips will also be of better quality. Even the thinnest twigs in the tops get chipped. Hope this can be helpful for you or someone else 😊
