i know this is an old ep but id like to point out a 'mistake' at 1:03:46 if you flicker Jeleva its the same as removing it from the game. Since it changes zones when you flicker it, its controller may decide that Jeleva goes to the command zone instead than into exile thus circumventing the 'your jeleva is worthless now' situation
@skynyrdjesus5 жыл бұрын
You're correct, but if I remember right they weren't actually wrong at the time. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think before they changed the tuck rule you didn't actually have that option

I prefer more twincast effects to counterspells when using jeleva. Not only can they counter but if they're in your hand you can use them to get more value out of jeleva.

i had a similar situation, like the one you mentioned about the difference between lgs and friend group. i'm runninga daretti edh deck and it didn't lose once in our round and it went so far, that i had to build a new deck, because nobody in my group wanted to play against daretti anymore. about 2 months later we had a very experienced player enter our group and he wrecked us all. after we asked him about the first games and he said: "medomai did nothing dangerous, trostani didn't do anything threatening, too. so i could easily get rid of daretti, because that deck was the only threat." the OP deck of our group was nothing more than a little threat to a semi-randomly thrown together deck from a pro. (he built it one night before after not sleeping for 2 days)

The color pie is already broken because blue can do almost anything...
@neuro36806 жыл бұрын
Sad but true... Sometimes you ask yourself "why they give EVERYTHING to blue ?" However I love to play blue, but some choices seem abusive with the color pie indeed.
@fieldy4096 жыл бұрын
Red can do everything. They say Red cant remove enchantments, but if you just attack the opponent enough all their enchantments go away!

Blue can't ramp.
@fieldy4096 жыл бұрын
Yes it can. Some of those blue cards out there say you can untap target permanent, which includes lands and mana artifacts. Like imagine using a vizier of tumbling sands to untap a nykthos shrine to nyx
@Arikunx35 жыл бұрын
@@MajraMangetsu you can use artifacts and blue have good synergy with artifacts

Guys you forgot leashling for deck stacking :D. Also increasing vengeance is an improvement on fork.
@erniespratt16606 жыл бұрын
Disagree strongly. Vengeance is way worse than fork actually, because it can only copy YOUR spells. Having an additional utility of highjacking an enemy spell is very powerful and should not be underestimated.

Maybe the rules were different in 2015, but can't the Jeleva player just put her in the command zone when she is blinked?
@jonathancummins62348 жыл бұрын
Dayton Winter rules have changed. Back then commanders could be tucked into the deck. Now they can just be put back in the command zone
@dayton2288 жыл бұрын
Jonathan Cummins I understand tucking, but that's completely different than blinking. Blinking exiles.
@jonathancummins62348 жыл бұрын
Dayton Winter yeah you're totally right. I'm sure they just misspoke
@chesterra7 жыл бұрын
When Jeleva is blinked before attacks, she ETB's for 0 Mana, so she doesn't exile any cards and can therefore not cast any.
@sorual46047 жыл бұрын
Thomas, thats not what they were saying. They were saying that when she is blinked, the player can just return her to the command zone before she ETBs for zero to avoid that scenario.
