This is a huge help, my atrox like all others had the same problem but with mine the ground wire from the joystick was put in improperly and it caused a short to happen and then it wouldn't work with anything. 2 years later I'm doing the full swap after opening up the original pcb box to see that problem with the ground wire. I was pretty mad to say the least lol

I also have an aatrox and the fact that it's a gigantic hassle just to use it on PC is awful. I might give this a try.

Its a game-changer for PC functionality. I don't have to fight with the 2014 drivers to get it to work in Steam and I can finally use all 8 buttons when/if I need them.

My atrox just died on me it gets no power I’m thinking it’s the cable but tried looking online and can’t find it anywhere

I've had issues with the quick-release cable connectivity. I've found replacements for those on eBay.

does the lock toggle still lockout the start / select buttons? I did a very similar mod on my atrox with a brooks ufb but lock only turns off the xbox guide button.

I also had the same behavior you're describing. I think the original control board included more functionality with the lock toggle. I don't think its a huge loss for me but it might be for someone who's going to tournaments.

Can i just cut the parts of the power cables that are connected to the old board instead of desoldering them ? since i don't have a solder

I don't see why not. There's not a ton of cable to work with so I recommend careful cutting!

Thanks! I removed the old PCB when I de soldered the USB connections. No need for it after that.

Does razer atrox have Turbo mode? I don't see turbo mode.

The Atrox control board doesn't have turbo functionality; however, the Universal Fighting Board does have some turbo pins. I did not hook those up.

can i play with .8 buttons by installing pc drivers? For retro .fightcade and mame games.

Normal PC drivers for the Atrox limited you to only 6 buttons (no LT or RT). With this mod, you wont need PC drivers. Steam picks it up as an Xbox One controller

nice bro, i think do the same, using a mini stick hori ps4, changes his board, to a Hori fight sick tekken tag tornament 2 xbox, changes to use in ps4, with a better and large fight stick. your video, helps to encourage me to try the change. hugs from brazil man!
