I like this figure. Its robot mode is pretty accurate to the cartoon model and the alternative mode even more so. I don't care about the combined Defensor at all, but I bought this Groove because I like having at least one transformer that transforms into a motorcycle in my collection and because it is such a great representation pf the character. I just wish the white parts were painted instead of being just bone-white plastic.

1984.5-85.5 Harley Davidson FLT Tour Glide touring bike. Same mold was reused for 1992 Guard City combiner limb bot Spark-Ride, but with a silver chest. In 1992 Takara had a Micromaster touring bike called Glide, but he actually changed into a Honda Gold Wing.

This is an awesome figure. I love the MMC combiners so far. The transformation is actually fun on all their Transformers. X-Tranbots and Fanstoys transformations have become a nightmare. I want to actually transform my figures and change my displays. For me that is the whole point.

@markcastellanet9672 I totally agree! I had the original G1 combiners as a kid and HATED the parts forming then. I expect modern engineering to do better and MMC are the masters of it.

@@chrisprzybyla7866 yep, stuff got lost and/or you had to store it and it didn't transform like it did in the cartoon or comics. Masterpiece is more than scale, it's about the look and engineering. If I'm paying premium prices, I want some premium engineering.

I love it! Aside from streetwise, I think they have done a stellar job on these. This is going to be my Defensor, not going to pay for FT or XTrans. Love the ‘all in one’ they are going after.

@@scottblanco5991 I didn’t like how hollow the side profile looks, no. Straight on he looks money though. I’m happy with them as a group though, so far, expect blades to be respectable.

I made the mistake of beginning my Protectobots collection with Generation Toy Foo Fighter. I liked the aesthetic and price for the toy when I first saw him, but he disappointed when I got him in hand. I still like the stylised look of the GT Protectobots, but they're sold out now. I not sure whether I'll never complete the team. C'est la vie!

Chips....Freakin Hi-larious!. I think Groove looks the best out of the whole team. Although the chest/arms aren't diecast, the metallic gives it a more mature look. I love diecast but im also starting to think its overated.
