Loved your reaction Andy. I could see the emotion on your face (just like you could see it on Hua Hua's) as the song went into the slower and sadder melody. I also loved the performance. Attitude was dripping from him and it felt like he was serving notice to all the other contestants. They are all going to have to step up their game if they want to keep up with Hua Hua.

A Jackdaw is a busybody of a small crow that pokes it's nose into everything, hence its use for a spy program. It took me an embarrassing number of watches to realize that all of those awkward moves HuaHua is making are him being a bird. The only reason I ever realized it was that I was watching his 2019 concert version of Quasimodo's Gift. During that song, he gradually became Quasimodo, twisting his body into that of a hunchback. Like you often say, he performs with his whole body.

I first was introduced to Huachengyu when he was participating in The Next One by my mother in law of all people. Haha. When I watched his collaboration with Su Shi Ding in Nanping Wan Zhong, I absolutely fell in love! His singing is incredible and I felt like he had found a kindred spirit in Su Shi Ding which helped make their music so dynamic! Their "Perhaps Love" song in the final was absolutely brilliant - helping Su Shi Ding go on to win the competition.

I just saw this. When I heard he was going to synch this I thought really? Well, the middle of the song when he plays with the light is just total performance Art at it’s best., (The music must have been pre-recorded, he had no backup band) As he went to leave, he picked up the mic and it pulled away so, good Hua Hua too the base & the mic back with him. I have heard him sing this in performances, his concerts and this IS THE BEST VERSION in my opinion. I love your reactions to Hua & after he stopped singing, his fingers were still moving. We have no one here in the USA like him or Dimash. We have Rap & Country, Rock is at a standstill and we have no one like Hua. The Singer and Ace vs Ace have been postponed until further notice and the Coronavirus has been contained. His second song was going to be BULLFIGHTING which he wrote after seeing the brutal display of a Bullfight. It has an unusual beginning and middle section and I wanted to see what he would do. Talk to Dalia, there is some politics about The Singer I do not understand. Thani you again, I cannot stop listening to this version!

This was the first, he won 1st, second he did Bullfighting and placed 1st,, the 3rd Episode he wrote a song in one week to uplift the people in China and he has been donating to the hospitals YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE TODAY IS NOT THE LAST DAY, the 4th episode he reworked Code Contra with his friend and named it Code in the Wild and it is like nothing he had done in this style at all! ahh i've been enjoying your hua chenyu reactions. i would like to suggest zhou shen, who is also on this show, for you to react to. zhou shen has an incredibly clean and resonant voice, and a great range. he sings a lot of ballads, but does branch out to other genres occasionally. anyway, i hope you can give zhou shen a try.
