Ado went from recording from her noise proofed closet to the top of the charts in japan in just a few years. Massive amounts of talent, technique, range and genre's covered and all self taught. My first exposure to Ado was from her, doing the whole OST for the One Piece anime movie named, Red. It was a musical so lots of different genre's in the OST all by her blew me away!

Her stage name refers too a type of 2 man act in japan where the Ado is the supporting character/straight man, which matches with someone who doesnt seem themselves as a star. But goes well with her song theme's of singing as several characters in a song telling their story. Starting off by singing cover songs of vocaloid music and popular songs combined with her past is actually pretty common in japan. Many famous musicians and composers in japan atm all have roots in doing exactly what Ado did. But think what you will.

I saw Ado live for the first time back in March, and man, do you feel the power in her voice. There's already a lot of emotions in her songs, but you really feel them live. I cannot describe the feeling other than you have to experience it to understand it. It's been a very long time since I've felt emotions like this for music, and Ado manages to do that. I only discovered her due to my friend, who is a big One Piece fan and I heard her voice in the movie that came out two years ago and I've been hooked ever since.

I know that a lot of people asked for but i have to do myself too, she deserves the attention, so much talented and so young, there is a lot of songs that is truly amazing, she is known by doing so many different genres and do masterly, it’s really impressive how she just “boom”, one of the top artists of japan. I can promise finding her is start of an amazing journey, I’m in rabbithole of her music for like 2 weeks and I’m still amazed Some recommendations what should you check next: “Dignity” or “Where the wind blows” - if you want to check more of her “clear” singing “Crime and Punishment” - a lot of emotions put in that one, probably most emotional song that I heard from her for now besides unravel “God-ish” - besides singing, she also changes her voice there to the level of voice acting “Show” - one of her newest songs, she uses amazing amount of styles there “Ussewa” - if you want to check her first own song (before that she were doing only covers) Also you can check “Odo”, it have similar vibe to “Show” which as an studio version I’ll recommend even more, but live version of “Odo” (that one from her official channel) is especially impressive, cuz as far as I know it was her second live show in life and she sang that as 24th(or something close to that) song that day Hope you’ll enjoy that!

Ado is mostly known for her strong voice, certainly influenced by her debut piece Ussewa, but she is someone who can sing in pretty much any genre especially shown by her One Piece Film: Red songs. Other songs by her that are more on the calmer side from her that I can recommend are "Ibara", "Dignity" and "Himawari".

She has a couple other performances. Her live performance of "New genesis". Its a one piece film red song that blew up a year ago. Not as much rock singing, but more of just a great overall performance. There is also "Show", which blew up recently and topped the japan billboard #1 for 8 weeks (and still going). Her live performance of that song is pretty good as well. She is a very versatile artist and one of the best vocalists in the world right now with her versatility and style. She debuted with a song called "Ussewa" when she was 17 and is now 21 years old. She is still young and already has such a massive resume of songs, so much so that she'll only grow bigger. This unravel cover I'd say is ado's most emotion-filled performance and It's (imo) the best unravel cover and the live version is on par with the original for me. Nice reaction!

Ado is my favorite vocalist of all time, her vocal control, range, strength, and versatility are INSANE. She does the singing voice of Uta in One Piece's Red Film, and all of those songs are absolutely incredible, I really recommend that you react to the live performance of New Genesis from the Red Film. She's awesome and does both original songs and covers. She debuted in 2020 with her song 'Ussewa' which hit the no.1 spot in Billboard Japan Hot 100. What's even crazier is she made Ussewa when she was 17. She's amazing, you should really check out more of her singing. Also a fun fact, she never shows her face! In all of her concerts, the room is lit in a way so we can only see her silhouette so she can remain "faceless" :)

This song was so overplayed (rightfully so though) for the longest time. I always loved Unravel and only slipped into the "I can't listen to this song anymore"-exhaution by a little bit compared to others, but her cover has me listening to it on repeat. Andy, just jump down the rabbit hole with me man. Ado is one of the greatest artists I think i've heard as of late, and although some of her songs are original, covers like this feel so much more powerful or on par with the original. She's done an opening song for an anime SPY X FAMILY called "'Kura Kura", and her iconic "New Genesis" from One Piece. Point is: You've just found a goldmine of an artist, and I couldn't be more excited for what you react to next! I suggest her first pro debut song "Ussewa", "Himawari", "God-ish" (a cover, but insanely good) and another cover called "Bocca Della Vertia". Hope you enjoy listening to them Andy!
