Good job ! To me , Portrait of a Lady and Musc Ravageur are absolutely unisex fragrances. Carnal flower is a total beast mode female fragrance. Having smelled each and every fragrance from this house , Portrait of a Lady and Musc Ravageur , are by far the best

YAZZA! Really enjoyed this one, I am a huge fan of FM! They are just unreal. The Iris one I also tried and wasn’t a fan the first time round.. but like you said, maybe I need to give it another go 🤔 xxxx

Hello from Brazil, Yasmin. I love your channel. I am a great admirer of Maison Frederic Malle. I've had several: "Dans Tes Bras", "En Passant", "Iris Poudre", "Le Parfum de Therese", "Lipstick Rose", "Portrait of a Lady", "Une Rose". But my favorite, without which I cannot stay and the one I have already bought more than one bottle, is "Une Fleur de Cassie". This is my favorite perfume of all time.

I do love Portrait of a Lady; it's a beautiful creation in the world of perfumery I believe. I also have Carnal Flower and I liked it, it's reminiscent of classic perfumes. I love Dans tes Bras and I think it's such a unique perfume from FM. On my wishlist I have Musc Ravageur as well as Iris Poudre and Lipstick Rose. ✨

Thank you for this lovely review. It’s so interesting how different folks react to different perfumes. I bought the same set - and did end up buying one. At first I didn’t like any of the main ones - thought Portrait of a Lady reminded me of eating the sweets, Parma Violets , with that same high scent. Musc Ravageur was way too strong on my skin and still there 24 hours later, ditto for Carnal Flower - both too overwhelming for me. I loved Eau de Magnolia at first , and Eau de Passant with its lilac scent, wrote off Iris Poudre as being too subtle - but then a strange thing happened. Just as you describe Iris Poudre took on a completely different tone. It became warmer, and deeper, and absolutely stunning. Over several days I fell more and more in love with its warm embrace. So I bought a bottle. I now want to try the rest.

I personally LOVE Iris pudre. The iris scent here is strong, yet clean. I hear a lot that this perfume is similar to N5, but to me, Iris pudre is easier to wear not only in winter but also is quite wearable in spring, I think.

Iris pudre Grew on me soooo much To me it smells buttery and powdery iris It smells vintage and expensive Smells like a classy 1920,s flapper Carnal flowers is an AMAZING scent! I love the eucalyptus in it makes it so fresh!!!

You mentioned there are a lot of fragrances that do certain notes better or similar. Any suggestions for an alternative to eau de magnolia ?

I own bottles all of them, Musc Ravageour I have to huge bottle. All are just amazing. But MR is a masterpiece. Everyone falls in love with it . But I love Eau de magnolia too and it gets no love . It’s such a beautiful perfume.

Besides the upcoming review you will do on Dior private line, some recommendations of other indie/niche that I'm interested in: Byron; Rirana, montale (I have tried a couple) and Tiziana Terenzi (I've only tried Delox, which is similar to Intense Cafe). Also: the note of vanilla. This winter I've purchased several vanilla forward fragrances, and still am not satisfied. Still hunting for more.

Hi Lynn 😊 I think they are difficult to compare, Carnal Flower really smells like an actual flower in front of you, whereas Fleur Narcotique is a floral perfume, that also has different notes added... so it depends on what you are looking for

I am wearing musc ravageur right now! It's intoxicating in it's drydown - I bought a 100ml because I felt called to it. Iris Poudree is one I've tried recently to diversify my tastes and its lovely, but not sure If I'm wowed enough to spend the money on it

Went to the mall today to test these out: Musc Rava ( fell immidiatly in love) Lipstick Rose ( need to test this more, interesting!) Portrait of a lady - I NEED a botlle of this ASAP- Such an arrogant and sofisticated, dark rose!) I dont own any yet but I suddenly feel attracted to this line..

I have a decant of carnal flower and a dupe of Portrait of a lady. I don't think the latter is for me, but I'm basing it on the dupe... I've not yet tried the carnal flower, but honestly, I'm a bit afraid of this house...I feel like it is too challenging for me...lol

I wanted to love Canal, smelled breast mode , nice scent but too pungent. I like it, but maybe the counter person over sprayed on me. Did love Magnolia and En passant. Still on deciding...

@@StudioxYasmin good! Now that THATS out of the way. I’d like to express my love of FM as well. Currently I have monsiuer, geranium pour monsiuer, vetiver Ex, and Musc ravg. I love ALL of them. Supremely well done fragrances from absolute master perfumers. I have my eyes and wallet on Promise, French lover next and that Musc Rav body oil. Absolutely 10/10 house
