The vintage head will always have a special place in my heart, but I actually really like the updated He-man head. It feels like it's more inspired by the vintage cartoon, which I like.

The comic doesn’t have words in it because of the country you got it in. I just recently watched a comparison video on two origins figures from different countries, and one didn’t have words while the other one did. The one with words came from the States. Thanks for the review.

I really wish these were at stores. Though I am seeing He-Man and Skeletor along with Battle Cat and the Sky Sled at stores more. Whoever is getting the big MOTU displays at their Wal-Marts are lucky.

The smaller tumbler in the chest almost certainly because of the way the shoulders are made. The old shoulders stuck out on mushroom pegs, but the new ones push into the torso leaving less room to do things inside.

I am enjoying this line. Not planning to get em all, but the characters I want for sure. I hope they release a weapons pack, with a solid power sword in silver and purple, alternate hands and maybe tv accurate heads too :)

The battle armor He-man is cool to bring back for the new fans of the toyline series. When I was a kid, I had a very warn battle armor Skeletor and the toy was very loose and sensitve that the armor would turn from a slight tap on the toy. I think it is a very cool feature on the toy, remember when Hot Wheels had the fender damage car, the fender wound turn 180 degrees when it gets tapped and the car looked damaged on the front end, LOL. The 80s was an awesome decade to be a kid.

I think they narrowed the armor chest plate because on the original figure the arm sockets were on the torso exterior. The new arm sockets are on the arms themselves and need more room to fit inside.

The artwork on the back makes it appear that the battle armor plate is wider for sure. Also, as you probably know. They have released a variant for retail. The vintage head for he man and skeletor come standard now. Also, a full power sword with a thinner handle is included with both figures!!!

If you heat up Prince Adam's hands with hot water and push down the thumbs then cold water shock them he will hold his pink sword much better.

Nice review Michael! I didn't realize the skin tone matched Prince Adam as well. I was lucky enough to find a few of the Battle Armor He-Man at my local Target, so I have that vintage head for all. It would be great if they did release a head pack at some point though too.

The Head is based on Alcala’s artwork. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s a tip of the hat to MOTU’s all time best artist.

My origins He-man came with a rounded tip sword. Its different from the swords you have. So I ordered the Battle Armor He-man for the 80's head, sword, and sword effects.

The new tumbler is smaller because of the articulation used for the arms and shoulder area. The connectors on the shoulder joints sticks inside the torso so that leaves less room inside for the tumbler. Hope that explains it

The battle armor area is smaller to accommodate the arm pegs that go in. The vintage one the pegs went outward

I used that classic head on my figure and did the same thing with the transformation piece on the Super 7 Filmation He-Man. I guess I am going to have to get a couple of more Battle Armor He-Man's to use that classic head on the Prince Adam figure and the He-Man figure. Nice review!!

I´m german, the comics in our packages doesn´t have words. I don´t get the reason why. English is a international spoken language. I´m also watching the marvel and the star wars movies in english. But okay, there are also people who doesn´t speak english. MAYBE that´s the reason.

Great Review. I think your Battle Armor He-Man came from Brazil... The sticker in the back saying SEGURANÇA is from Imetro, that is a Brazilian company that verifies the safety of toys and other products before It goes to the store shelves.

Anyone know why He-Mans gauntlets were never painted orange on the original figures but left unpainted? Also a friend of mine recently came across an old vintage He-Man figure with red gauntlets, which line was this from?

For Adam, they should have given him more of a smiling, happy go lucky facial impression. He looks too much like He Man. In the Filmation cartoon series, his hair and skin tone were lighter.

The Battle Armor He-Man was the only He-Man I had in my childhood. Sadly I don't have it anymore. I wanted to buy this one, but the Armor looks so bad im comparison to the original that I lost interest. The rotating Symbol is way to narrow and the armor not shiny enough. It looks really really bad. Instead I purchased the normal He-Man with the classic Head.

The head sculpts on He-man and Skeletor has been such a turn off for me with this line. I'm a moc collector and I just can't pull the trigger on these unless they would have the vintage style head sculpts already on the figures. 😔

I got both of the battle armors as soon as I saw them. My favorite childhood toy. I don’t like the Gi Joe type joints they’ve added to this series. I love the series just not that feature.
