"Every other album was better in my mind after listening to this album". Isn't that kinda implying that Crack The Skye was so bad that basically everything is good in comparison?
@BlazeDragonX5 жыл бұрын
@@Heeskane No, that means every other Mastodon album he listened to became better after listening to Crack the Skye, and not necessarily better than Crack the Skye itself. Most likely, he got connected to their sound, and started appreciating it's nuances.

The older I get, the more that the "new" stuff by bands I like suddenly is 10 years old. If you're not old yet, enjoy your time while you can. The emperor of sand kicks up the speed once you hit, say, 30. Then it all just whizzes by, and before you know it, you're old and Mastodon records you think just came out recently are celebrating their 10th anniversary.

I'm looking forward to this series, I hope they do an episode that really delves into what Brent went through. I'd understand if they didn't because it kinda implicates one or two other musicians from well known bands, but I'd really like to hear more about his experience with being in a coma as well as the recovery process. I'm also looking forward to crying like a baby from the episode about what Brann poured into the album.
@andrewdomonic66035 жыл бұрын
That will never happen. There is an obscure interview where Troy clears the air a bit and puts water under the bridge. The bands won't talk about it anymore. Apparently Brent was just as much at fault and being drunk and annoying kept pushing to fight. There was a video on here where he did the same thing to Pepper Keenan at a festival and you could see Pepper trying not to fuck him up. I love Brent, but he's "that guy" when he was wasted. I'm sure he has finally calmed.
