I’ve played about an hour of starfield and it’s not bad the AI from what I’ve noticed so far isn’t all that bad. Melee enemies will straight up run at you and their pathing is pretty good and they’re usually fast af so they aren’t worthless bullet dumps. My only gripes so far is no fov slider it feels very claustrophobic at times and that the lighting isn’t great and the flashlight you get isn’t very big so I feel very tunnel visioned when I have to use it.

So far starfield doesn't seem like a complete let down like fallout 76 was for me. So I'm probably gonna buy it and the gunplay and overall gameplay looks solid. I haven't had the story spoiled at all so I don't have an opinion on that. Otherwise I'm guessing people were hoping for a lot of freedom in space travel and choices, etc. and I doubt the game delivers on that front but I personally don't mind.

If you only played 76 around launch I'd say give it another go. It's been solid for a while now but people just don't forget the rough launch it had. Plus I'm sure Starfield is pretty good so I'm looking forward to trying it too at some point.

Been playing starfield and so far I really do enjoy it. Not far in but it feels like the classic BGS from the good days. I will say it is definitely a little janky with some of its mechanics but that’s literally every game they make. If you do get it, stop watching others play and experience it for yourself because it’s one of those games that you truly have to play and not watch, otherwise the moments of “wow” that comes with the exploration dissipates.

watching this late, but also been playing starfield since midnight yesterday, I enjoy it but I kept myself into the typical Bethesda mindset, it does look a bit goofy, but I've put 16 hours into it already and have been having a awesome time with it, I've always enjoyed single player stuff so its probably bias of course but I do agree with the looks like a off-cyberpunk but im just easy to please i guess lol, I've also been swapping between playing it on pc and my steamdeck and it obviously doesn't look great on deck but god damn is it nice to play comfy after sitting on my pc all day

Ever since i got my hands on chernobog when he came out i just couldnt see his autos. I knew i did damage, but it felt like i havent actually seen any of his autos. It was a pain to get him to 10 cuz of that..

@@l4430 yeah bud, pretty much any skin has attacks that are easier to see. I forget the one that I use but it is one of his newer ones, it is like an infernal or whatever. The attacks are much cleaner and easier to tell that you are actually hitting them

Starfield has been a blast to play, I have been very dissapointed in bethesda recent years since Fallout 4 basically but this game is very good and its gameplay and story is pretty interesting

Many people call beth's fallouts "Oblivion with guns", but Starfield is literally the Skyrim with guns and space, and it really fits a lot better that way.

I’m loving starfield and open critic has it at almost a 90 and metacritic at like 88… and ACG loved it as well as most reputable reviewers. It’s a better version of Skyrim and oblivion just in space. If you like bathesda you will like this. Other than snubbed mainstream outlets and Sony fanboys I haven’t seen anything less than a 8 out of 10 review and most reviewers have put in like 70 plus hours

regarding starfield, what i saw was "just another bethesda game" like fallout 4 level which is good right? but i think starfield just inevitably got overhyped so ppl might be dissapointed because it isn't an absolute gamechanger masterpiece. Also the usual buggy state on release. One thing to keep in mind tho is that all bethesda games are pretty much meant to be played with mods nowadays xD so we'll see how much the modding community can enhance the game, i expect them to make it MUCH better but that'll take a couple years so..

Played starfield at my friend's house. It is disappointing and reminds me alot of No Man's Sky back when it first launched. Maybe in time, starfield could become good, but as it is now, it sucks.

I haven't personally played starfield so my opinion of it doesn't mean much but from the 8 hours I've watched someone else play it I'd compare it to every bethesda game ever, story is so so, side quests are the majority of the game, very empty feeling, the fun part of the game is trying to break the game and having the game break by itself rather than actually playing the game, again this is from someone who hasn't played but I did have an open mind whilst watching and it truly was just a disappointment for how much hype there was around it

Baldurs gate is a 9.5 or 10 for me but it’s extremely niche game for hardcore nerds and will never get mainstream success…even with all its hype people didn’t buy like they do other AAA titles… so far starfield is a 8.5 or 9 for me which I think is more impressive because it has to have mainstream appeal and can’t just cater to a small fan base like baulders gate does

Oblivion and skyrim are the only games ive put close to as many hours as i have into smite, but i personally had no interest in starfield bc i have no faith in bethesda as a video game developer. Didnt see any gameplay but im not surprised to hear that it looks like shit. Im going to buy the new elder scrolls when they decide to make it but i also expect it to be the worst elder scrolls game
