little tip for the laser line. If you cant fix it to a wall or to need to keep moving the height, instead of those clamps use a wood saw hung up and the magnets of the laser to set the correct height.
@MJTiffPlumbing28 күн бұрын
Yep I do that a lot when there’s nothing to put it on…. Cracking little hack

Don’t you then need somewhere to hang the wood saw though? Or have I misinterpreted that?

I recently replaced a load of old Triton T300SI's with Triton Envi's in office blocks. I didn't realise you had a hand in the design. Still got 5 to go in a different building, just waiting on the quote to get approved. Great bit of kit good quality, too.

Gidday Mark. First of all, I enjoy watching your videos. It is interesting to see how plumbing varies around the world. Here in Australia, we have a very strict plumbing code, Plumbing Regulations and Plumbing Standards and the ubiquitous Manufactures Instructions. I'm amazed at the number of plastic fittings English plumbers are permitted to use in wall cavities. In Australia these mechanical fittings are prohibited in wall cavities unless there are purposely installed access panels for obvious reasons. What I would be interested in knowing, is there a "standard" water pressure in England? Ours is 500kpa or 72.5 psi or 5 bar. Here, we are also inundated with numerous pex piping pex fittings and pex crimpers from different manufactures. It's a bloody nightmare, so we tend run our piping in the roof cavities as it offers the most accessibility. All said and done, Keep up the good work and keep on plumbing.

Thanks mate, always interested in hearing about how plumbing is different around the world… We work to a max of 3bar in the uk
@Kevin-ip8uf26 күн бұрын
here in north america the domestic pressures vary WILDLY. often in rural areas you determine your own pressure by using/adjusting the pressure switch since they are on well water and pumps in these rural areas. a lot of them cut in at 40 psi and cut out at 60, but 50/70s are pretty common too, and they can easily be adjusted with turning the nut on the stems - basically as long as your pressure tank is charged to the correct pressure you can use whatever you want. Even in areas with town water the pressure can vary pretty good depending on the home's elevation compared to the water supply, though many homes employ a pressure regulator at the point of entry between the meter and the shut-off in the home. PEX is king here, whether it be the expanded PEX A or the crimped PEX B...some people use those manablock manifolds like a sparky uses a fuse box, there will be a home run of piping with minimal/no fittings between the manifold and the end user.

Decent job fella. Shame they didnt use cement board for the shower area. Those triton envy's are ok but dont have a great life expectancy esoecially in hard water areas . Used to fit alot of the generation before the envy , same principle really remote box with a different user interface. Same can be said on most ekectric showers really . Looking forward to seeing the finished article. 👍

Don’t need cement boards as it’s being tanked with BW1… Don’t have a great life…. They have only been out for 10months mate…🤣🤣…… Any electric shower in a hard water area won’t do more than 3 years….. that’s what I advise unless you fit a scale reducer or filter Finish will be very smart in this build
