I have discovered when filming my short films that for a practical rocket blast it is always best to mount the ship vertically and face down so that the heat and smoke rises straight up and the illusion is not killed by the giveaway rising heat/smoke when mounting ship horizontally. I would love to see Mat Irvine in his workshop (an Irvine in his natural habitat). BRAVO that man 🏆🚀

Makes sense. The old flash Gordons from the 30s and 40s show how bad it can be when the tail fire looks like it's falling, although tbf those scenes were in the atmosphere with gravity plausibly playing some part.

If they'd have made action figures and vehicles for Blake's 7, maybe the BBC would have gotten more money out of the show and it would have lasted longer!

@daro2096 I guess they could have ended it after season one, when orac showed them the liberator blowing up? They should never have destoryed the liberator at the end of season 3. They could have used the harvest of kiros plot for then 13 episode of season 3. That way they could have started season 4 with the crew stranded in kiros and the federation returning to recover teleport bracelets or orac's key. And they could have gone into season 4 with the liberator intact.

@daro2096 I still think a season 4 on the liberator would have been better and probably cheaper then the Scorpio season 4 , yes some stories would have been harder to do, like headhunter and with all the gems on the liberator why would you bother with games and gold.
