I first found this song during what I call “the greatest time” of my life. I had a fun job, met and let some foreign exchange students move in with me. It was such a beautiful time. Had some good times with both my parents. But soon after the kids went home to China. My mother passed away and so did my dad. I quit the job and it took awhile to find my footing. But I just finished school and I now have a daughter. Sorry for the long post. But seriously this song brings tears to my eyes. Reminds me of the good times and the people that have also moved on. Thank you Mat Kearney.

I also have a similar attachment to this song. I was 16 when I first heard it, my entire family was together from around the country for a cousins wedding. It kept coming on the XM radio in our rental car, everything seemed so blissful and amazing, surrounded by those I love making memories exploring new places. Each time I listen I’m taken back to that amazing week we had together. Thanks for sharing your story and reminding me of my own. x

Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of my Grandpa. I was at school when I found out he passed. I put this song on and listened to it all day. A couple of days after the funeral and I was listening to this song and fell asleep. In my dream I was with him, just hanging out in the living room. We just sat there and talked, I told him about school, the family, and how much I missed him. After I told him that it started raining and flooding in the room, and I started crying saying how much I missed him. He hugged me tight and said "I have to go, but it's okay. I love you so much Sara". When I woke up I started crying because it was so real and he remembered my name. I truly believe it was him and a gift from God. I love you Grandpa Tracy.

You know what, his songs are so perfect for a late night drive or a late night road trip while you sleep in the back as your parents are driving. Ships in The Night, Nothing Left to Lose, and Sooner or Later are SO perfect for that. I once took a class trip that was a few hours away so we had a road trip. When we were going home at 3 in the morning, I just listened to those 3 songs alternately and closed my eyes. Such a perfect tune for those scenarios.

Bro I found this song when I was rummaging through some old drawers and found an original iPod that hasn't run in years. I plug it in, throw on my headphones, and rummage through a bunch of early 2000's songs and I found this... I didn't know the singer but loved the voice and music. But for 8 years I couldn't find this. About 6 years ago I moved out of my house. It was a church h with an apartment. I made so many memories there and I remember this song from those times.
