I see that people here take a huge interest in Mihingarangi. I would like to acknowledge on behalf of everyone else here, her incredible achievements since a young age. This includes all the awards and nominations she has received for her journalism work. I always try to watch her interviews and love hearing her voice alongside the Irish voice on RNZ. Very high quality, high calibre wahine toa! Many thanks. Andrew Little is truly admirable and deserves a lot of praise as well.

It's not good having a fly by night prime minister who is such a coward that he shoots through before the first reading!! Very sneaky, very disrespectful, and very cowardly to suddenly get the first reading through ahead if time. We had a lot more decency in politics before this crowd got together and became our government. No one had thd respect or integrity to stand up and say this is not on. What's in the bill is totally out of line.

Sounds like you drew the short straw and don't have a streak of Māori blood.😂 If ya knew anything about the treaty, you'd know that your queen agreed that she would take responsibility for her subjects (settlers) and Māori would take responsibility for their own just like we did for about 1000 yrs before the crown arrived. The fact of the matter is, is that the crown twisted the whole arrangement and decided they would rule over both settler and Māori. Our Chiefs granted settlers, via your queen, the opportunity to live in our country and as a result of your greedy fore father's and queen. Māori lost pretty much everything.....AFTER THE SIGNING OF TE TIRITI O WAITANGI! Actually you're on point! Māori receiving seperate health, law etc.....is how it is supposed to be, as per Te Tiriti O Waitangi. You and your band of dying breed must be feeling a tad insecure knowing that there's a major shift of Pakeha understanding taking place, who stand beside Māori knowing that what took place after 1840 was an absolute stain in Aotearoa's history. I can tell there's no to little hope for your type because your arrogance won't allow you to see the facts, that we got RIPPED OFF! The real problem with Little and most people's arguments about the 2nd article in reaponse to David's problem with it, is that the legal kawanatanga definitions of tino rangatiratanga as properry rights is assimalatory in itself. The essence of the abuse of te Tiriti lies in an arrogant assumption that kawanatanga and it's associated world view is sovereign of our treaty is just that, an assumption. Little is just as supremist and assimalatory as David. One om the left and one on the right...both need to get off their own high horse

If they were educated, they wouldn't have lied about 3 waters. We can thank them for increasing everyone's ratees and the cost of water infrastructure by the minimum of at least 1 billion dollars. That's enough money to repair our medical system so people stopped dying in our ER's. Or our police. We could have had a functional police system too. Either could have done with that money. Same as the landlord bribe - it only took me minutes of looking for it to be obvious we couldn't afford them as a nation - or the 19 billion tax cut bribe. But we're ALL paying for the uneducated now. So thanks for that.

@@petermichael2504 That's the thing though, all this info was out there, as plain as day it couldn't work without magic or something drastic happening in the world to suddenly put our only export - food - at a premium. That's the most annoying part, we had a map showing which ways were the worst moves and as kiwi's, we were stupid and gullible enough to give power to the same people who caused a homelessness crisis and then thought it was a good idea to add another 100k homeless on top of that, just to sell off all state housing in the country. It's like us being scammed by trump when everything we needed to know about them and their plans were given to us on a silver platter. But kiwi's chose their biases over their education

Because it removes Maori Sovereignty and redress. Sweeping our people's history under the rug like it never happened to begin with. Redress means compensation over the nearly 200 years Te tiriti was exploited and abused by The Crown. We don't forget our 500 year history as easily as colonizers and their inheritors forget their dark past.

RACE BASED THEORY is what the colonialist called TREATIES with the NATIVES. IT only worked here with Maori because of Colonialist HUMAN RIGHTS ideals, the LAWS and MAORIS generational Protest have kept the treaty VIABLE😮. Difference AGAIN MAORI work with the treaty the way MAORI BELIEVED IT WAS COMMUNICATED to the Colonialist by MAORI.
