I think you'll find that instead of the cumbersome "buffer tube plug" or "buffer extension plug" you can simply shorten it to "buffplug" and be sure the say it quickly in conversation to maximize efficiency. Example text: "Damn it... My buffplug fell out while dicking around on the workbench." Or "My wife is really keen on me using a buffplug as a way to really have fun with my new gun." The best use for this and other PCCs is guarding politicians who advocate for gun control.

I can confirm the BRN-9 is legit. I think mine needs broken in though. No malfunctions suppressed and unsuppressed but only locked back once. I have it on a Foxtrot Mike FM-9 Glock lower. Thank you for the review!

If you have the money AP5 the recoil is just better and its smaller and more concealable of you get the short one, the real upside to the mdp9 is you can pick your own trigger and a shoots nice. If you buy it buy the strongest triggerpins you can get, it's brutal on trigger pins. Probably better than a scorpion. Tbh id say this is the 3rd/4th best pdw/pcc behind a mp5, mpx, cmmg dissent, or stribog (basically stuff that's usually expensive). Only because it's direct blowback back. For the price though it's arguably the best upper for an ar9. I wouldnt buy this if you're trying to running it as a cheek pistol and have alot of money. But if you're in the market for an ar9. This is a great option though I kinda wish I got an ap5 instead. But ap5 prices are unpredictable. If you can get a shorty ap5 with a threaded barrel for under 1400 id suggest getting that instead. I put about 1200 into my build and realized for what I wanted I should have just gotten an ap5 and dealt with the shitty trigger. But alas it's my baby now. It's like a gifted child you wanted to be a doctor but ended up having to resolve its alcoholism issue then started a successful logistics company. It ain't what I expected but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't proud.

Just ordered one to replace the PSA AV-9 and AR-9. Both barrels threads are so far off you cannot suppress them. They stopped making the AV-9. The put a long AR length bolt carrier inside a short action with short buffer tube. 2.3oz weight and very weak recoil spring. The gun was beating itself death. I'm hoping this will fix both problems with one upper.

None of the Matador 9 uppers will fit I've tried three different ones on the PSA Ave 9 lower. The bolt hold open Tower is in the way. The magazine sits way too high. Also the feed ramp prevents the upper from mating with the lower. Bought a Anderson lower with Endo mags. Fits great. Last few months lost some use of left hand do to heart trouble. Looks like I'll be selling my collection since nobody goes shooting with me and I don't want to go out there alone anymore.

I have one at home setup for home defense with a H509T on it. I had a bunch of issues with the charging handle housing breaking but Matador took care of me. I ended up getting the aftermarket one made by HB industries which seems to be made a lot better.

I think the charging handle housing was either 3D printed or made out of a plastic that was less dense. When I did order the HB industries one, it was almost like injected molded delrin and tough as hell. It also has a spring loaded ball bearing to keep the charging handle forward without slopping back

Not injection molded, but maybe a solid hard plastic block that was machined. I'm no expert, but it's definitely a superior part. I'd also love to see a collapsible charging handle, but you're right that spring has a lot of tension and that may make for a weak point

Best use of the upper…… lay a lead sled on it’s side, attach said upper, back away two paces prior to taking a running jump. Aim o land sitting square on the barrel with your chocolate starfish. Repeat as necessary to optimize your individual satisfaction.

Best use to me would be a compact light weight match gun that doesn’t require all the extra length that a competition PCC would. At the very least you’d be different than most. I agree with everything you just said… mostly. Felt recoil is pretty drastically different now having said that it’s negligible to the point that it just doesn’t matter. Neither gun is going to recoil any meaningful amount. for me they are a lot of fun, full 🛑
