Thanks for the positive feedback, friend. I am using the stock app that comes with my smartphone. In other words, nothing downloaded additionally from the app store. I just click on my Camera icon and start recording at 1080p 60 fps. I tried some aftermarket apps; in my experience none of them comes close to the functionality and footage quality that the built-in app gives me.

Hi, buddy. I used to own a Vulcan I Mk4 (this means the latest version of the 1st generation). Sold it after only 3 months. I'm not particularly fond of this brand of airguns. I'd go for an Edgun any day. But hey, that's just me. I always say there is no such thing as a perfect rifle; there is a rifle that's perfect for a specific shooter.

Thanks, brother 🤝 The range depends on the caliber, projectile type, power level... All in all the gun is very capable, I've shot it past 100 meters with the 34 grain JSB pellets (that's .25 cal).

Thanks, buddy 👍 I shoot the Mk2 at 870-875 fps. Usually velocities of about 860 to 880 are considered optimal for a diabolo-shaped pellet. Although I must say some airgunners say it differs from batch to batch. The Edgun distributor told me he'd seen some batches of Mk1 and Mk2 shoot better at lower velocities of about 810-820 fps. Well, it's not like I'm going to the EBR championship, so I don't select my batches specifically 😉 Thanks again for the nice comment, bud, I appreciate it 🤝

I see. I can't really tell - I asked the distributor to install an Alpha barrel before he ships the gun, and somehow he got confused and installed... another LW in my gun... He apologized and offered a compensation, of course. The point is right now both my barrels are LW so I wouldn't know about those Alphas. Bear in mind that some people are quite displeased with them. Just saying, not my personal experience at all.

Certainly. It's not any birds, it's feral pigeons and sparrows, and not everywhere, but on some locations only, such as farms. Pigeons crap all over the machinery and they nest inside buildings. Their feces attract cockroaches and the acidity destroys the coating of the machines. That's why they call them flying rats. Some of the disease they have can be passed on to humans. It's the same in cities, but you can't shoot there for obvious reasons. It's pretty much the same with sparrows, plus they chase away swallows and take over their nests while they are south. Farmers want swallows there, because they reduce the numbers of insects drastically. As for all corvid species, they prey on the young and eggs of song birds and destroy the bio diversity. Their numbers have exploded where I live.

You have a point, but a well placed heart and lung shot, or a spine shot is no less humane, buddy 🙂 Plus it takes more time and aiming to place a proper head shot - pigeons move their heads constantly. And usually all the flapping that follows freaks out the rest of the birds. Thanks, mate.

Hi, Wayne. I prefer the .25 because it carries more energy downrange and most of all - because it bucks wind better than the .22. And as you can tell by the herring gulls, I live by the sea, so it's almost always windy here. People arround here hate those gulls way more than pigeons - they are invasive, they have no natural enemies, they eat everything, carry very dangerous diseases and they destroy avian bio diversity. A lot of people find ways to dispose of them, but I don't have a permission to shoot them myself. The authorities are looking for other "more humane" ways to fight the gull invasion.

Hi, Raza. The .22 cal R5M comes in two versions - standard and long. Mine is the Standard .25. I haven't tried shooting slugs but I know some guys shoot'em successfully with the Long version.

@@razasheikh9738, it depends on the reg working pressure ans the hammer spring setting. I've set my reg to about 135 bar and adjusted the hammer spring accordingly. It gives me 78-79 Joules. I haven't done an exact shot count but from a 240 bar fill down to 120 bar the gun gives me no less than 45 shots.

Hey, friend, thank you for the kind words 😊 My longest shot with this gun was not recorded, unfortunately... It was 156 meters at a pigeon: I hit it on my second attempt. I was standing and leaning on a fence 😄 But there are other people who shoot at that distance on a regular basis with the R5M. My longest recorded successful shot with it was at about 120 meters, if I remember correctly.
