🙋‍♀ Thoughtful as always Helen with your gift giving. I thank the heavens that I don’t have to go through the experience of choosing gifts anymore. We gave that away years ago, instead, as a family, donated what we would spend on gifts to the the Fred Hollows Foundation, an Australian doctor who restored sight to many people in third world countries. We felt that we all had more than we needed in life and that this was a very noble cause, but we still share our love as a family, with a feast from natures bounty, to which we all contribute. Living in a hot country changes the experience. 💐❤

I love all the shopping of gifts that you shared with us. The candle holder is gorgeous, not too blingy but if you feel that is then just use it for Xmas. Add a jar of marshmallows to the hot chocolate tray. After Xmas it will be lovely in a bathroom as well for the small rolled up hand towels, soap and hand cream or anything else for that matter. Whatever floats your boat 😉🎉

Hi Helen. What a lovely gift idea for Hattie- the monogrammed box is great and I’m sure she’ll be delighted with the special earrings in it. Although the Internet is an amazing technological asset in our lives, for me there are some things that will never replace human,face-to-face contact. You have such a large family to buy for at Christmas, the U.K. is definitely not short of stores where there are bargains aplenty and so much choice.🧡🍁🍂

Enjoyed that haul Helen. Some good ideas for Christmas. Everybody has at least one person who's difficult to buy for but when I saw the green sweater I thought right away that would suit my nephew. You're doing with Dolly what we're doing with our 'terrible two' granddaughter at the moment to get her in/out of the car seat and ensuring good behaviour in public places. The promise of treats! Experts may not agree but it's working for us the two days a week we have her! 😊

I’m very similar to you when it comes to gifting so this was a good video for me thanks Helen. The jewellery box is gorgeous and I’m sure Hattie will be thrilled. I really like the spoon rest too as it’s just simple but practical. My favourite is the hot chocolate station though - what a great idea to use it for a hamper. It would be lovely with a Xmas cake, little jams and biscuits, and some fine teabags. Great idea 👍xx

Hi Helen I like the hot choc station. Perhaps fill a jar with mini marshmallows and candy canes in the mugs….just a thought. I done it for my grandchildren last year and they could just help themselves. Personally I think it wall be handy after Xmas. A nice haul Helen, 20% is a good discount when you have lots to buy. My dad is like your mum, 88 and uses his tablet for email, browsing shops, KZbin, banking etc. My aunt and uncle are the opposite, no internet, they refuse to bank other than in a branch (and we know how that is going with all the branch closures)! They really stuggle when buying things that they then need to get serviced etc, all the retailers assume you have an email address etc. Definitely left behind.

I have exactly the same problem with my dogs. I think the biggest mistake I made was giving them a treat when they come in because they keep going out just to come back in for a treat. The thing is you never know whether they need to go out or not.
