The aim was to fix the VW Golf R MK7.5 & now its back on the road the goal has change to make the car as quick as possible with some modifications.I want it to beat my Lamborghini in a race. In the previous video i fitted all the parts ready for a stage 2 tune, induction kit, intercooler and downpipe. Theres one thing i was missing and that was a exhaust system! I fitted a full ‪@scorpionexhaustsyt‬ & its insanely loud 😂 Lets see if the performance has increased.
I take the golf out for a drive with ‪@Phil-cooper‬ at the end to see what he thinks!

i have a very similar kind if setup. track-slag 4” decat downpipe into a full built race system basically copied from the scorpion for maximum deepness and loudness. scorpion for me is def the best fir this car off the shelf system without a doubt! love it

Mat, put the stock exhaust back but delete the resonator. You will get a nice tune and drone free exhaust. Reply to this comment if you want me to dm you exhaust clips of that setup I’m talking about.

I love the sound of the EA888 G3 engine. I love the throaty rumble it has. I think any exhaust on the MQB platform is best served with a resonator to keep some of the harsher exhaust tones in check, and let the bass of the exhaust go through.

OEM exhausts tend to be pretty efficient these days ... my 5.0L XKR (Supercharged - 550HP out of the factory) showed minus 5HP after a b4 n after dyno session. Seen it with other cars I've owned before - negligible if any gains. Sounds better though which is the main reason for doing it.

I fitted my scorpion exhaust today too although I went with the resonated centre section and it’s perfect for day to day use noise wise and i got the bigger carbon tips available from scorpion too.

Front Assist problem?: Try parking the car with the radar 1.2m away from a wall (steering wheel straight & car exactly at 90 deg) (the fancy target is only needed for lane assist), and perform a calibration in VCDS.

The exhaust looks good, but a little quiet for me. I used to have a MKV GTI and had a full stainless system on that and didn't sound too hot at idle, but at 6-7000RPM, it was as amazing as a 4-cyl could sound. With no visual mods, a tuned Golf R would be a total sleeper.

hey up matt, ive been speaking to my mate andy, he runs "yorkshire vag solutions" on facebook, ive mentioned to him about your radar need calibrating, give him a message on his facebook page, he said hes happy to see what he can do for you, he will likely do you it even cheaper so he can become better known. you can see the reviews on his page, ive even seen him do some work in the flesh, no messing about, gets the job done and talks you through the process etc so you get a good understanding.
