Glad you finally got the Akrapovich exhaust, amazing! Yours sounds a bit more high pitched than mine does with your resonator delete. I prefer it without the delete. Also consider turning down the sound actuator as that reduces the in cabin vibrations.

I got a custom cat back for my golf r what I bought in September. VW said to me that the part you replace e.g the exhaust will be no longer in warranty but the rest of the car is.

Hi, I’m based in Australia and the akra exhaust came with the SE version of the golf r 7.5, I installed a CTS turbo res delete but removed it 1 week later due to drone being too unbearable, I would really like to know if the anti drone pipe really works (specifically in Sport mode and auto as I use to get really unbearable drone around 2500-3000rpm range) and if so where can I buy one? Also do you have the exhaust valves permanently opened (ie disconnected/coded open wirh OBD11)? Thanks

He Michael,the first thing i did to my Golf R 2015, is lower my output from my sound dacter from 100% to 10% so you dont have that vibration against your front glass screen.i bout a VAG-resenator delete butt a im not gonna install it.Enjoy your R

That 'Anti-Drone- resonator does exactly that. That piece of tubing that protrudes from the exhaust, which looks like it has no place being there, is actually a Helmholtz Resonator. Very helpful in eliminating most of the drone, no matter your exhaust setup

For me the first mod was OE resonator delete...more loder..than hjs200cel downpipe..even louder...than i went for remus resonated catback and now everything is perfect...without resonator...backseat was nightmare..and drone at 180km/h
