These modifications are long awaited for my Audi S5 V8. First trip was to alloy fix to change the alloy and calliper colour, then plenty more to get through. Shame about the flatbottom steering wheel, but i'm sure we can solve that in a future video.

That's a great looking car. Dechroming definitely helps a lot. Was surprised to see the yellow calipers look so great too with that color scheme.. maybe because it matches the plate so well. Anyway, awesome car man, great job.

Mat I swapped the steering wheel on my A5 to an S3 flat bottom. I had to remove the button assembly from the old steering wheel and transfer to the new, as although they looked the same, they weren't.

Same story here with me putting in a rs7 steering wheel in my a4. I also need to get a different set of buttons cz these don't work with the tiptronic so if I want to use the paddles I have to spend like $300 to get the oem Audi steering wheel buttons rip

On the plug that you cut it from the airbag the wires need to be in a different order. I had the same problem with an audi A3. But you should find the right information on internet and you can make it work if you make some digging. If you can’t make it work let me know and I will try to find the correct order of the wires for you.

I believe you can use the old airbag cable on your factory airbag and just disconnect the other end of airbag cable with the 2 plugs. I've done that in the past swapping steering wheel

Car looking good. Wheels are perfect! I would leave the silver on the splitter too! I wouldn't have bothered with the steering wheel cos it is never gonna be a simple un-bolt bolt-on and go. Are you gonna replace the seats too, cos they do look old now. Thumbs up from me on all so far!

Love the blue. It reminds me of Nogaro Blue they used to use. Gloss black is nice too. But the steering wheel mod had me wincing from here. Probably would go OEM given the airbag etc. Respect to your can do attitude on it all though.

I've just purchased a pretty nice s5 /rs5 lookalike 2008 . I'm super happy with it . This is a really nice video tbh Im gonna do the de chrome as it's a bit tatty now and the black detail really looks better Mines the metallic blue with black interior I much prefer the metallic to the bright baby blue . I would of chose black but beggers can't be choosers. Feel lucky to own it tbf

Mines got a 1300 quid custom straight through twin exhaust the previous owner fitted . It's probably the loudest car in my town . Pushing 380 bhp . I'm wondering how the RS4 puts out 420 bhp on the same engine 🤔

Can i recommend a full interior LED mod for the interior lights and puddles lights - it would make it more modern and doesnt cost alot nice cool white. Also a cool MOD is upgrade the MMI and SAT-NAV doesn't cost anything ; just available of the A5 forums for downloads and how too's. Finally and would love to see this is the Apple Car Play mod for the MMI this would be a brilliant mod! Car looks brilliant! give yourself a pat on the back.

Very interested watch your work Matt, I can't help but fell gloss black wheels are a bit to mutch. I have a red 2017 black edition i do think you need to wrap that bottom of bumper and mirrors i was never fan of the silver.

Great video you’ve probs saved me £200 if this dethroning goes to plan just a question what did you do with the wrap around the top of the door did you just flush it at the bottom and then stick it in at the top or the other way round ?

You have: blue, gloss black, matte silver AND chrome on the car right now, which is why people are telling you to paint the front and/or mirrors black! I would just do the front to start with to get rid of the rest of the matte silver on the outside by painting the front splitter gloss black. The mirrors might look ok staying in their S5-signature chrome colour! :-)

Well the good news is I don't think your "hidden" front fogs are MOT testable (based on the year of your car), the bad news is the dibble frown on cars altered in such a way. Be prepared for a regular pulling by Plod, and thorough insurance checks on the mods at the roadside. Trust me I've been there.

As far as I know the only plug&play steeringwheels for the s5 v8 are the wheels of the b8.5 facelift models and q5. (the button assembly shold have the mode button on the left and no programmable button on the right)

Better engine for tuning then the V8 they don't sound as good though. 3L will make 480bhp for £1500 mods

Buttons on the steering wheel are interchangeable. You can swap them from your previous s5 steering wheel and they’ll work no problem

Guys you just need to code the new steering wheel with vcds. Same goes for any other electronic modification on the car. The resistor values are different through witch canbus catches the button press. Cheers. Matt find the coder. :)
